A woman answered and said she was calling for Direct Buy. I told her that I was not interested in anything. She said she wasn't selling anything. I told her that I wasn't interested and ended the call. I could hear a lot of chatter in the background.

unwanted call, not in my contacts.  Other posts suggest this is a scam.

I just got a call from this number. When I answered, I hadn't even said hello yet but someone was singing "Wooo, Wooo". I said hello and they instantly hung up. Uh what?

Got the same call today from a lady who I could not understand.  Told her to repeat herself and she hung up.

Just called me. Thanks for letting me know its a scam everyone!!

They called me an hour and a half before this posting.  My story aligns with the postings on here.  Direct Buy calling me that I have been selected to win a home makeover.  I told them what I was going to do (see below), and they told me have a nice day and hung up as fast as they could.

At the time of this writing, this number has been reported the caller to the DNC reporting site, Verizon Fraudulent Services (the carrier the number originated from), and the FCC.

Got a call from the number, and said Hello, no one there, waited a bit to see if I could hear background noise, but no one there. [***].

I got a call from this number, and couldn't understand the woman beyond hello.  She had a very thick accent and was hard to understand.  Finally told her I wasn't interested after I asked her for the third time, who she was calling from and couldn't understand her.

I received a call about 20mins ago from this number and the only reason why I answered was because of the (512) area code which is Austin's area code. Anyway this lady with a heavy accent said I had won some money etc. and that someone entered me into a raffle for "Direct Buy" and that I won some prizes and a chance for a home makeover. I asked since it was a local number where are they located and she said off Research which is in Austin but still this is obviously a telemarketer and basically a scam. I told her I was at work and ended the call and also do not want my number on their list.
