This number called me twice but did not leave a message, maybe it was 311 calling back about my trash cans? If there was not a message how would I know who was calling?

This number is the main number for the City of Austin government. If anybody from the 32 departments calls out on there phone then this number will show up as a generic number! This can be the police department, animal control, library, municiple court, etc. This number will call back to Austin 311 because that is the main number for the City.

Yeah me too, stop the calling and save Texas some $$$$$$

Yea in my case I applied for a payment plan or an extension for a ticket I received in Austin.  I missed the call and called back got 311 people and they transferred me to the courts.  The courts said that they were calling to verify that the number I gave was a working #.  So yea in my case it was a legit thing.

Received a call on my cell from a man who identified himself as an officer saying they had recovered a camera from a friend of mine.  Called my friend and she had not had a camera stolen. He identified himself as officer Knudsen.....very sketchy call.

Rec'd a message that they new my husband was recently in Austin and needed me to call back and answer a couple of questions.  I did not call back.

its now 2022! This phone number keeps calling my work mobile phone. This phone keeps calling and does not respond when you pick up the phone. It looks like The City Of Austin main phone number. Sometimes its a phone call sometimes its a fax transmission to my work cell phone.
The lady on the phone says they didn't know why their main phone number would do this.
We need to cll them back to let them know their phone is doing this. She made it sound like I'm th only one affected while this thread goes back to 2007 of their phone system doing it.

Recording telling me some type of service was going to be cut off for non payment. I don't live in Austin. Everyone saying it is Austin general number so I don't get any service from austin.
