Got a call from Conservative Victory Fund.  Solicitor gave her schpeel and finished with something like "can we tell Greg Abbott you'll support the cause?"  I asked her to repeat the name of the org and she ignored that telling me ABOUT the org and wouldn't stop talking.  She then repeated "Conservative Victory Fund" and wouldn't stop talking so I could write it down.  I had to keep interrupting her.  Finally I told her to put me on the do not call list.  I contribute to conservative causes, but I do my best to find out who they are, what they really spend my money on, etc.  I usually can tell when they don't want me to check them out for legitimacy.  I went online and there is a national org called Conservative Victory Fund, but I don't think this is them.  Someone like them called be months before, using Greg Abbott's name, but I got upset by the way their schpeel was shamelessly using the sale of fetal baby parts (which I oppose) to make money for their campaign.

I have had several calls from these people and I agree with anonymous2 ... this is a SCAM and they are using the TX governor's name (without his permission)

I'm in Australia with a VoIP US phone and whoever this is is waking me up in the middle of the night.
If it is a US Republican cold call, it's okay, just don't call me in the middle of the night Queensland time!

This is some kind of scam and they continue to call my cell phone every day. After the first call I put them in my bIock list. I do have Extreme call blocker on the phone so it picks up and hangs up, no voice mail allowed. Regardless, they continue to call every day.
