Dear College Student,  You've been had.  If something sounds too good to be true.... It probably isn't true.  Never give any personal info to people who call you out of the blue with a promise of having won something you did not sign up for.  Never give personal info to anyone you do not know.  This info they collect can be used to establish identifications that will create nightmares for you and ruin your credit.  You may want to contact your local law enforcement agency to get advice on how and where to file a complaint.  Good luck.

These people called me yesterday and the girl said I won a trip to Mexico, but I would have to subscribe to a magazine for $2.99 a week. She wanted my credit card info or my bank account info. Yea right. She must be tripping if she thinks I'll give her my info so my bank account can be cleaned out. N-E way I just thought you guys should know it is definitly a scam and they are trying to get people's personal information. BEWARE!!

this number has been calling me for the last week. A couple times a day.  I think that the best thing to do is register with the national do not call list (888-382-1222 {Thanks sa-12 April 2007}) and iof they still call you after 31 days, call again and report their number. I dont know if this will work without a company name, but its worth a try.

wanted to know if anyone else is having the same problem of the hang up calls

This number is repeatedly calling my cell phone, when I answer it I can hear a casual conversation going on in the back ground but, no one will talk to me.  This is very annoying and I am looking for legal action if it does not stop for harassment.

This is probably the 3rd or 4th forum I've seen of people getting calls from this number.

I was shocked and amazed to see so many websites dedicated to this and other numbers like it. Kinda scary and annoying.

This number has been calling me for about a month.I dont answer but i try to call it back and i either get busy signals or they dont answer. This number calls about 2 to 4 times a day and its crazy

this no keeps on calling me and when i finally picked up it says  i was entered in a contest to win a million dollars and they asked me if i had a visa but i didnt give them any info at all because i figured it was a scam.....but they knew my address.. i am scared... any idea what i should do?

I have received two calls from this phone number. I live in Maryland and don't have any friends in Ohio. Not sure how they would have gotten my cell number.

man this number keeps calling my prepay cell number but i refuse to answer it. they have called me roughly 50 times in the past week.they call at least 10 times a day and its very annoying.

i just got my 6th call from these [***] since yesterday afternoon.  i answered the first time, and they hung up when i asked how they got my name and number.  they're calling my cellphone, which is unlisted.

The same 513 number keeps calling me for the past three days. When I answer they hang-up and when I call back it goes to the busy signal every time all the time! Who is it?

I just started getting the calls yesterday and this morning they called again.  when i tried to call back last night it was busy for hours, and this a.m. when i tried, it just rang and rang.  i called the national do not call hotline and they added my number.  someone suggested this earlier in these posts and i think it does work.

This is a "sweepstakes" group out of Ohio. One call I answered [out of 15 or so in a two day period], the person "explaining" what the "service" was became defensive and rude when I asked what the catch was to their offer. Amatuers for sure who have scripts in front of them. Definitely a scam to get name and personal data. Don't get sucked in. Better yet, just don't answer the calls or put in your phone number on "free info" websites.
