Best I can tell this cal is from Ohio somewhere. They left no message.

This number comes up two to three times daily. There is never anyone on the other end. I guess its time to block it!

Caller identifies themselves as Syntax Communications. I looked up
the name of the company on-line, and there is a Syntax Communcations Group
in New York that does business consulting. Another company called
Syntax is out of Pakistan. The site is not available to view what they do.
The caller I experienced today sounded as though they could be Pakistani.
I told the caller I had never heard of the company and that they must have the
wrong number! I take no calls from phone numbers I do not recognize, especially
from Pakistan where there are many troubles with Taliban.

This is Genpact Services a collection company. I am not sure who they are collecting for, But they wanted me to call them back at 877-239-7495 which is another one to assign  the silent ringtone to.

Yeah this number is area code 513.... they've called in the past for different people, THAT DO NOT LIVE WITH MY HUSBAND AND I. Yet they keep calling..... I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know, esp long distance. People are so evil I don't trust anyone....

Syntax Communications would be the carrier (phone company) not the caller.

The call ended before I could talk to anyone. Probably autodialed.

One company Genpact collects for is Lowe's. If you dispute something, they send you to the GE/Lowe's people at 800.444.1408 (overseas call center) who cannot handle a dispute, so they send you back to Genpact at 877.239.7495. It's a nightmarish circle.

The silence at the beginning of a call is the autodialer, which must be set to every half hour or so because they burn up the phone. If you dispute the charges, they quit calling for maybe 24 hours, then the autodial hell begins again. I've taken to answering the calls and setting the phone down until they hang up. At least I'm wasting their time, too!
