calls me at home, when i dial it back it says its disconnected... Its more than this number being used

It says Middletown Ohio on my caller ID and when I answer it dosen't say anything.  It's called my phone a few times and same thing everytime.  But when I call it back it says "disconnected".  I'm starting to get annoyed and I'm wondering who it is

I getting the same thing as Cheryl except someone actually answered. They were asking for my mother.

Asked for me by my 1st name only! My husband answered and asked who they were and they said they were calling from "Ohio police association"!  Doing a "courtesy call"!! Wouldn't speak to my hubs AT ALL and got kinda rude with him! I have NEVER heard of this company!!!

Very annoying.  I answer. Then there is a lot of background noise. Then someone asks if this is mark. I tell them to stop calling and they hang up.

This number has called me a few times now.  This morning was the first time I was able to answer the phone.  The caller if he was speaking to Mark and with hesitation I said yes and then the line went dead.  I called the number back and received a message that the number has been disconnected.  So I got my gun next to me now.  Weird call;  The number location is between Cincinnati, OH and Dayton, OH

I received the same call. I contacted the Ohio FOP, the State of Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Ohio Sheriff's Assoc. to see if they are familiar with this organization and if they are scammers or not. The State of Ohio Attorney General Office is supposed to get back with me. I will update this post later.

Caller stated that he was from "Ohio police association" and was doing a courtesy call. They were asking for donations. He asked for my by my first name and knew my address even though my phone number is unlisted. I thought about it and attempted to call him back but the recording said the number was disconnected. I have contacted the Ohio FOP, the Ohio Sheriff's Assoc and the Ohio Attorney General to see if they are familiar with this organization. The Attorney General's office is supposed to get back with me.

On the good side, they didn't ask for a donation via credit card or anything, they are supposed to mail me a form which will give me an address or at least post office box. If it is a scam i will be contacting the Post Master General Office and get them in trouble with them as well.

I don't mind donating to police organizations at all but if this is a scam I want them strung up by their ... well you know.

Keep getting this call asking for my husband by name. Finally said something about calling from the police. That's all I could understand before they hung up, I called back and it says it's disconnected. I give to the FOP and they don't operate this way at all.

Same as other posts and we have an unlisted phone as well as registered do not call.  Mi attorney general notified.  Will post outcome.  Multiple times day evening started late sept

This number has been calling me at least three times a day for the past two days during the work/school day. When I finally did answer they hung up right away. I got fed up and attempted to call them back, and when I did it said the number had been disconnected. Slightly creepy and very annoying.

This number keeps calling me and everytime I answer they hang up!

I've also been getting calls from this number (513) 342-3926.  If all the above people have gotten these calls and have reported to various organizations, why in the world doesn't someone do something about it???

I am having the same issue, caller I'D says Middletown OH, finally able to answer and there was no one on the line. Called the number back and is disconnected.

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks, and every time we answer there is no one on the line.  What can we do about it.

I get calls from this number everyday sometimes twice a day, but no one says anything.  I call it back, a message comes on saying  this number is disconnected, if it's disconnected how can I get calls from it.  The number comes up unavailable.

Received several telephone calls from this number. My husband answered once and listened to their pitch. He asked them what percent of my donation goes to the Ohio Police Assn.? Their response was, "No less than 10%." He asked them to remove us from their list.

these people call using different number, very rude, and hang up constant..  asked to stop and proceeded to blow up my phone.

Thank you for your responses, as I also think this is a scam.  My policy is if it is important, they will leave a message, so do not answer calls you do not know.

I received a call on my cell from 513-342-3926. A voice-mail was left and I was asked to call Christine @ the  Insurance Academy # 866-611-0519. I googled that number and got a website as http://insacademy.com/. I already have insurance and did not request any calls from this place. Hope this info helps someone out.
