There are tons of rental listings on real estate websites like Trulia and Zillows that list rentals way below the average price for those neighborhoods. This number is listed in several cities all over the US. It's hard for me to believe that one person (under the name Michelle Berman) is able to own and show all these properties across the US on a minute's notice. I texted the number and the number texted me back, asking me to e-mail for further information. There are recent rental scams in which the person listing is not the owner of the property and will ask for deposits/money orders or other financial information to steal identities.

Please be informed that Michelle Berman is a professional scam artist who has listed several apartments for rent on Trulia and Zillows.the individual has several contact numbers 813-650-6589 / 415-25-9836 / 909-746-8460 / 513-399-7847 & many alias, his e-mail address is michelleberman935@yahoo.com.
I am attaching a copy of his e-mail which was part of our correspondence, he was trying to rent apartment 10420 68th Dr, apt A55, Forest Hills NY 11375 to us and even had a fellow name Fred confirm his story. I am reporting this matter to the authorities and hoping that individuals like himself are punished for fraudulent activities.

It is my opinion that Trulia and Zillow which are reputable apartment rental / sales listing companies should take ownership and responsibility of fraudulent activities conducted on their websites by enforcing security measures to prevent individuals like Michelle Berman to conduct fraud and report them.

I thought this deal was too good to be true so I decided to Google the phone number "David" send it to me.  I came across this post to I am updating it for other people smart enough not to fall in a scam like this.  I found this add in Trulia.  I also tried to locate an area where to report this post in the site and was unable to find anything.

like all others i find that too.. that this deal is to good to be true. i was looking for apartments near Chicago, IL under $1000, and I found one that is on 365 Jefferson st. for $700 a month sounds pretty good deal. I text this number to find out if this apartment is still available and when can i see it.

After his text messages i can clearly tell that is a scam and start searching for the same apartment number and his phone number in google search.  Same apartment is on zillow for $2400 a month and same pictures that he posted on his add.  When i search his number on google, i found this website.

HS: I like to move in couple days. I can send you the security deposit and first month rent, then can you send me the house key in overnight shipping. Whats your address, so i can send you the check.

People use your COMMON SENSE, NEVER! NEVER! NEVER! give out your personal information.

I asked him again His Full Name and Address and told him that my name and address will appear on the mail, when you'll receive the letter. He never text back after that.

Thanks to all those people who reported his number on this website.  This country is a full of scamers because there are lot of people out there that fall for good deal without even searching about it.  It doesn't matter even if the person giving you free place to live; always do your research, you never know that the person might be hiding drugs in attic and the property will be on your name. Use your common sense- there is no such a thing is "Free" and "good deal" in this world,
