- wes| 1 replyI got a call from this number, and while I usually screen unknown numbers, I actually answered it for some reason. It was a guy who said he was from a card services fraud detection, and he wanted to verify that a purchase I made last night was a legit purchase. He said my name and accurately described the purchase. I confirmed those two bits of info (and I didn't give him any other info) and he said that the block on my card would be removed in 3-5 minutes. I then called my bank and they said that this was most likely Visa calling to ensure the card purchase was legit. So it seemed real to me. In hindsight, I did attempt to use that same card last night on iTunes AFTER making the $500+ purchase, and the iTunes purchase would not go through. So my instincts seem to say that this was a legit fraud detection. I'll keep an closer eye on my account for sure. I hope this helps!
- FredricoSimilar to Wes's - left message -Asked for my son - Said they were working for 5/3rd banking CC - that suspicious activity on debit card, that they put a hold on debit card until they talked to him. Sure enough called son and card had been frozen when he tried to make purchase and they called him as well. ( had to put "unknown" since 800 notes lacks correct legit definition)

- JackieReportedly credit card fraud services; however, he was asking die my card number and personal information. He was unable or not willing to tell me which credit card company he was calling on behalf of; I checked my cards and no questionable activity was noted. It is my belief that he was attempting to defraud me!

- Confirming123This is a legit fraud monitoring company hired by banks. They gave me the last 4-digits of my card number, read off the merchant name and the amount to confirm I had made the purchase. This is not a scammer. They are helping us and our banks save money by trying to reduce fraudulent activity.

- Jaicie KReceived a call from this phone number. I missed it, but they left a voicemail message. They said they were calling from Vantage for purchases made from my (named my bank) card. However, they gave an 866-432-6447 and reference #. I called my bank instead, even though I knew the purchases I had made an hour before might look suspicious. My bank transferred me and the reference # was legit. There was a hold put on my card and it was removed with my call. They suggested that I am always welcome to take the caller's info, hang up and call my bank. Glad I did!

- JPThis is a legitimate caller. My business card was blocked from making an online purchase last night, and this number called me this morning to confirm that I had in fact attempted to make the purchase. They gave me a reference number in their voicemail, which I used when I called back, and I did not have to provide any personal information aside from my name and a portion of my business ID number for verification. They unblocked my card immediately.

- jfrelich replies to wesThey told me that the vendor was associated with China and that is one of their automatic red flags
- BillLegit caller, warned me that my debit card, which was stolen in a mugging, was used to try and charge $245 dollars on an online site. Verified the last four digits of my card, I only had to give the mailing address, and they canceled the card and are issuing me a new one.
