Scam - don't answer.

Called office again this morning.  Picked up and hung up; a minute later they called back and I did the same thing again.  Back on 10/4, tried to scam a co-worker "update/confirm your internet listing".  Do NOT say YES in any way.  Just hang up on them.

Told me it was Canada Directory Systems calling. They wanted to confirm the company regarding address, phone, fax etc...etc. I said yes because eveything was correct. She told me they would re-run our listing at a cost of 399.00(.) I told her I would never pay that much for advertising with them. She said that I did the last time... I told her I write ALL the cheques for the company and that she was full of s**t. She said thank you and hung up...LOL. It is a scam and if you agree verbally, they WILL send you a bill.

5 calls in 5 minutes, when answering the calls, each time, no one on the other line will speak, all you can hear is breathing.  finally after the 5th call, I asked them to not call anymore if they can not speak.  Haven't received a call again.

I had them call our place too, and I told them I wasn't doing anything over the phone that they would have to come here in person and they never showed up

They called and I let them speak and they were saying that its an online listening for companies and they are powered by google and yahoo. Said that since may 2010 we signed up to get our company listed online and I know for a fact that we did not do anything like that cause our company just started April 2011. They were requesting 395$ from me and as soon as I said this is a scam I never signed up for this. They hung up. BIG SCAM!!!!!!

Called the number and get a Bell message saying number is not in service ???

Just received the same call. I also told them I would never list with them because I have no need to. They told me that they would send me an invoice anyway and a copy of my listing. I said they could do that if they liked but I did not authorize them to list my company and I would not pay. I informed the local police of the call.

Dude with Indian accent wants me to "continue my listing" and he will send me a bill for $399 or so. Told him never heard of this company. Said I authorized in 2010. Told him "wrong". Continues to argue and he hangs up mid-sentence. Probably a supervisor listening to these calls makes a decision to drop the customer call or continue the scam.

I also received a call from 514-447-0295.  Tony, from Canada Directory told me that our company signed up in October 2010 for a listing, and they are calling to update our information and provide me with a log-in and password.  Also, he kept referring to a $395.00 charge for the service after the fact.  I advised him that we did not authorize any listings as we do not advertise on any paid sites.  We are all referrals.

I told this guy if he wants my money, he has to prove to me that I authorized this advertising.  He told me that he will refer my call to his marketing department......  Ya right!  

This is a SCAM!!!!  Be careful

They just called my wife and demanded $400 payment for 2 years of service.  East Indian piece of [***] female kept arguing that she had confirmation in September 2010.  I took the phone and advised all of our calls are recored including this one.  I demanded to have a toll free call back number, her supervisor's extention and her operator number.  She kept going and wanted to transfer me to a supervisor so I repeated myself and asked her if she understood that the phone call was being recorded.  She hung up immediatly.  514 447 0295 is not in service.

Got a call from Canada Directory stating that I authorized advertising in 2010 and after 2 years they request payment of $395.  Told him I had never authorized any such thing, he kept insisting and I finally told him that I did not authorize anything so whatever he has in front of him was garbage and was a scam, he hung up.  This is a total scam, do not agree to anything they say.

I also got a call from them saying that I authorized advertising with them.  The individual with an indian accent said that I needed to pay $395 as well.  Scam, scam, scam.  I hung up.

Also got a call from them re internet listing of business and were going to invoice $399.00 for past service never approved.
SCAM for certain.
Tell them to remove your number from their call listing and they have to or face prosecution.
Also to cancel any service and invoice or they will send you one and keep calling.
Carrier is Fibernetics Corporation but cannot find company name.

514-447-0295 told me we had a $395 for a 2 year listing wanted up dating their file and wanted to confirm our address. We never signed up for any listing she insisted that we did I said then send me signed proof she said we have the authorization and will connect me to the shipping department how soon will you be paying one week two week. I told her we were not paying she was very pushy and keep say they had the authorization and wanted to know how soon we pay our bills here. She said she would cancel our listing I said good we did not ask for it then she wanted to know again how soon we pay our bills is it one week or two weeks. I got tired of telling her over and over we are not paying for any bills as we did not sign up for this and I am busy working and hung up on her.

East Indian man asking for the former owner, Saying he autorized the listing in 2010! After informing him that the former owner sold me the buisness in 2000 he stutered and said, Oh oh, I will have to look into that. I called him a piece of [***] and told him to try his scam somewhere else!!! These guys call every two years and it's a total scam!!! Be careful what you say yes to!!

Got a call - and used up my voice mail with crazy music which ran for at least five minutes and finally the voice mail cut it off. Nobody left any message except for this funky music. Do not answer - its a waste of time.

Yep definitely this guy has a name that sounds like John Leonard couldn't understand the East Indian accent too well and then same MO as above said we advertised with them,also in 2010.

Called this morning.  Same deal as everybody else.  Told me I got an ad with them last year, and it's renewing for give or take $399 CDN.

They wanted to send a bill, I told the guy twice that I was not an authoritive figure to accept any thing and twice that the manager was out of the country.  Tried to reassure me that he was not selling me anything new and that this was already happening back last year.

As well, there is absolutely no advertising that we've done with any company at all, for our business.  We're referral based.
