When I called back they sent me to two different women that said they couldn't send me an email or anything in the mail to document and said a lawyer or attorney would be calling me. She stammered over word several times the first person must've been new to the scam . The number I called back to was 1-515 - 200 -7237.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

I received a call from Pittman White and Associates (515-200-7238) saying they had a pending case.  I know this is a scam.  Not the first one I have gotten.  Although it is the first one from Pittman White.

Be reciving phone calls for a scam.They say we wrote a bad check.And if we dont pay there are taking us too court.They are pittman white and associate

Just FYI, the Do Not Call registry is for telemarketers, not debt collectors. And scammers such as these would ignore it even if it were for debt collectors. Try a call blocker.

If you wrote a bad check, you'd hear about it from your bank first. Just a scam. Block and ignore.

Serious debt scammers.  Ignore and block their calls.

Rreport them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

Got same as all above. Phone 515-212-7010. Some guy name of Wade called stating they had case in office and I was to call or consider myself warned and no call would default judgement against me. I don't have time for this garbage.

Received 3 calls from (Melvin Frank) at Pittman White and Associates and also (Frank) at David White and associates.  No companies in debt collection match either of those.  The calls came in from 515-200-7238 to my cell and home phone.  Scam.  Do not engage with them.  Block their number.

They called me from 515-212-7015 and 515-200-7398 spoke with someone named Mary Cruz who claimed I took out a loan back in 2010 when I asked for the info they would not give it to me just the amount they felt I owed 865.00 withy 319% interest and fees owed. When I declined to give any info and advised I would have my attorney contact them Mary gave me PO BOX 360  Iguala Iowa address then someone by the name of Kelly Carson came on and advised I did not need the address and that an attorney would contact me. I advised her that they claimed to be an attorney so I would have my attorney contact them she ended the call there.

Ahh, "Joseph Brown" with Pitman White and Associates called me again today... there was a beep at the beginning of the voicemail and the same script and inflections as last week. PLEASE do not fall for this SCAM! :(

They said they were mediators for Direct Cash Loans. They were trying  to get money for something  about a cash advance loan involving a check from 2011... not one but four!!! "I said ma'am if that was true I would have a warrant"... so she claim they couldn't find me  🤣She had an old email that was hacked like 5-6 yrs ago. It was hilarious she got really upset when I made her go threw the break down, and of course I was given her false info and she was like yes, I see it here in our system🤣🤣🤣 she thought she was gone hit me for $3500 (ya know it's income tax season, these scammers are thirsty) I asked what was her name, she got offended (Ms. Lacy Parker) and said she felt like the she was being questioned and that she could no longer talk to me because she had other calls she had to made( reallly but you say I owe you money )so after all that I told her that I was contacting the police and reporting her and her fake company, then she got mad and hung up!!!

Same message as everyone else. Mine was from David Douglas and he ended the call with "cover yourself accordingly" I get messages like this several times a week. Tiresome.

Someone named Juanita Moss was calling me from another "company" in Iowa or Nebraska.  When I blocked them, I started getting calls from Pittman, White and Associates, also in Iowa, the very next day.  The man's name was David Douglas.  He read the same script as the lady from the other company.  I think they are probably working together.  Huge scam!!!!
