Caller was a Matthew with Mortgage Lending wanting to speak to someone in our HR Dept to verify employment. Gave him our HR email so we shall see if this is true.

Received an automated message from this number saying they were Equifax, attempting to verify employment on behalf of a bank.  They gave a call back number of 866-662-3339 and a reference code.  I returned the call and the rep who answered said the verification request had been cancelled.  They never told me who it was for.

Got the call today 10/28 you could hear about 10 other calls going on in the background all asking the same thing. Looking for the head of HR to do an employment verification check. I asked for the name of the company she was calling from and calling on behalf of, each time she went to say the names the phone magically cut out. After the 4th time the phone cut out on the names, I told them to call back when they fixed their phones.

I'm a receptionist of a small department at UIC, and I received calls from these people multiple times, especially Monday mornings. Today is the third strike after I have picked up my phone 2 times and talked to 2 representatives giving them all the information needed. I start to believe that this is a fraud. But I don't understand the point of this type of fraud?

Someone saying they from the mortage company calling to verify employment

Someone on a poor connection trying to get employment verification.  Had our company name wrong and asked about someone no longer an employee.  Suspect a scam here

I received a few calls from this number one my work phone (which I don’t use and almost no one has) with no messages left. Based on the notes above I called Equifax and the rep told me this is not one of their numbers.

Called and requested to speak to someone in HR. Has since called 3 times

Nichole called asking for verification of employment and said it was time sensitive. She said that she sent me an email verification and has not heard back from me. Company was called E-Mortgage Management. The phone number to call back was (866)662-3339. This sound like a scam to me and will not waste my time calling them back.

They've called me at least 10 times. The voicemail below is the message I got
"Hello this is an automated message we are calling to complete a verification of the appointment for one of your employees we have called and left several messages as a reminder your employee was counting on you to get us is information to verify their appointment press one now to reach a live person press two to hear a call back number and your reference number"
