Apparently these two knuckle-heads have a new firm; Pennisi, Daniels & Norelli, LLP. No mention of debt collecting on the site, but we know from our visitors they are still collecting. ANOTHER CON-AMERICA FRANCHISEE


Attorney Fred G. Daniels has been practicing law since 1976. He used to claim his expertise was in real estate law. He apparently was not making the kind of money that suited his style, so he switched to being a debt collector lawyer.

Partner George H. Norelli began his law career in 1984 who also claimed to be a real estate lawyer. He too chose to make the career change from real estate law to debt collector lawyer.

Along came another lawyer, Meredith E. Unger who joined them as a debt collector and they all became a franchisee for the most disgusting collection agency and America's Worst; 'Collect (con) America'

As with all Con-America franchisee's Daniels & Norelli rented an office in Westbury, NY, hired the usual mix of con men, idiots, uneducated collectors and goons, who set about the task of lying, cheating and harassing consumers out of their money.

They are the typical 'Con-America' cesspool of collector-goons using phony names and threats of litigation, judgments, and civil suits if monies are not immediately forthcoming. They use the telephone to harass, oppress, intimidate, and threaten consumers.

Since Daniels & Norelli (by their own admissions) NEVER did debt collection work prior to becoming a 'Con-America' franchisee, one wonders how much money they have extorted from consumers under threats of legal actions that they cannot or NEVER will take.

I have problems with losers who cannot make it in their chosen fields, then turn to debt collection as much the same way someone elects to become a drug baron. The allure of big money at little expense clouds their perception of the industry, yet they embark on a course that mirrors terrorism against consumers, at its worst.

My reasons for EVERYONE avoiding this fraud of an operation are:

They are a part of the 'Collect America' network, which is as bad as a debt collector can get.
They have NO prior experience in debt collection, or Fair Debt Collection Practices Act litigation, which means they are liars, when threatening it.
This appears (on the surface) to be Daniels & Norelli's attempt to get rich quick, when (apparently) they couldn't make it in their past attempts at practicing law as real estate experts.
The complaints I have fielded from consumers regarding this collection agency are of vicious liars, thieves, con men and extortionists, that they have working for them.
Blend it together and you have a perfect recipe to AVOID theses con artists and goons at all costs.

If collectors for Daniels & Norelli are abusing you, contact the New York State Bar with your complaints. If you are being threatened, contact the New York FBI.

Up to 5 calls per day, even after 8pm.  Looking for a person who does not live in my home.

My mother got several calls from this number.  They were very threatening and intimidating.  My mother is 72 years old, very poor health and has lost everything to Hurricane Ike.  He said he was going to take her to court if he didn't get payment in full by the following friday.  She asked him for his name and number and said she would call him back on monday.  He being a man named Joe Lupo at extension 3086. He has called her about 8 times since then.  I called him and told him not to call her anymore, only corresponde with her by mail, he gave me his fax number and told me to send him authorization from my mom to talk to him and that he would continue calling (harrassing) her until the bill was paid.

The calls from this firm began AFTER a 30 day threatening letter which I ignored. Then the calls began in Oct. 2009. First they called themselves a law firm in Wetsbury, NY "Danials & Norelli PC" with the toll free number #800.332.5595. Asking me to call back Miss Norelli.

Then it became more personal and a Patricia "Pat" O'Brien began calling posing as a friend when I wasn't home. She called maybe 12 times in 30 days from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm leaving the number #516.338.7520.

I had a feeling they were a collection agency posing as a law firm. I called back twice but it was a voice mail and didn';t leave a message.  Then I ignored her other attempts to contact me until 11/2/09 when I finally called her back. She never answered her extention #3019, it was voice mail so I left a message telling her I'd be availbel to speak this week.

She left a message on my machine 11/5/09 complaining that I have caller ID block and need to disconnect it when I call them, as they need to know the calls from me. I did not. As a former New Yorker...I've ALWAYS used the restricted non-published service.

After 3 hours of bankruptcy & CC "charge off" debt research today....I felt prepared to finally speak to her. She gave me the same offer BOA did before they cahrged off my account. I couldn't afford their settlement, nor could I afford Pat's settlement. She was irritated, accused me of mind games when I asked pointed questions. I asked her is she was an attorney she said no. I asked if they bought the debt she said another compnay "America" bought the debt and Daniel & Norrelli was the law firm collecting for them.

After I accused her of being argumentiive she calmed down and we tried to strike a deal. But not low enough for me to afford. So she said the next step is being sued. Things will get pretty serious now she threatened. I asked her is she could get me a better settlement offer and call me back. She said she will not call me again as I have not taken their final offer of a settlement of 50% off my BOA debt.

I said OK...I've tried to fix this debt, but as BOA was unwilling to work with me in lower payments, as Pat was, then I guess my only recousrse is being taken to court and being sued.  

I thanked her for her contiunos calling, and I was glad I had the chance to finally explain myself. She acted polite and we hung up.

I felt less fearful AFTER I spoke to her, and now that I have found this site AFTER I spoke to her, I don't feel AS powerless.

i continue to get threating calls from 516-338-7520 they can't even get the name straight when they call.

I get messages asking for someone who doesn't even live here, claiming they have sent letters, etc, with no response.

Very rude lady called in for someone I don't know. Asked her how she got this number, she was very rude.

I got a phone call today, at 6:24 AM.  I am not the person they asked for, no do I know that person.
Not sure why they called, I blasted them.  If they know the number they are calling, they also know the time of day, no matter what state they are currently in.

I WILL NOT PAY THIS DEBT AS IA M NOT RESPONSIBLE.  Turns out that the SAME anesthesiologist who delivered my first 2 children...just 18 months later, after the c-section, sends me a letter stating he is no longer accepting my insurance and wants to be paid in full.  I PAY ALL Of my bills responsibly!  I will not pay a medical bill when I have great insurance and the hospital, infant pediatrician, ob all take my insurance without an issue but this guys decides no.  THIS IS WHY people go broke from medical insurance.  Now, 6 years later, I have these new people calling me pretending to be a lawyers office.  If you owe money legitimately you should pay it...in my case I feel like I followed through on making sure EVERYONE was in network and it is NOT my fault this doctor chose otherwise so I WILL NOT PAY IT regardless of what fake, or rude company calls me!

they called trying to reach somebody that I know. That person has nothing to do with my number. I called them and they are still trying to reach the person. I asked to have my number removed. I'll just will have to wait and see ?

We have been continually called and harrassed by this organization- all the while asking for a person who does not live at our residence and we have no knowledge of.  Finally, when they called this am at 7:05 asking for "Julie",  my husband told her that we have no knowledge of anyone named Julie, the woman said "whatever" and hung up.  He immediately called back and was given a "supervisor:", we told him that they will take our number out of their system or we were going to contact the Idaho Attorney General.  Then we got a message at noon from "Donna" at 877-383-0433 telling us to call about an important matter or she would make a decision on her own by the end of the workday.  When is this going to stop?

They're making up stories to try and get us to call them, saying we sent them a money order that didn't reach them in time because it takes 6 business days for the mail to arrive; therefore it was late. Nice try guys! There was no money order! Clever story though! Something else, there is no debt that we owe! Maybe my In-law has some outstanding debt, but that's not my affair. Besides, she is broke, living in a nursing facility and under the control of the state. The state gets every cent she receives in order to cover her nursing home costs, and even that doesn't cover everything. I'm calling the State of New York on them. This is wrong and they know it! SO IF YOU ARE READING THIS DANIELS AND NORELLI, PLEASE STOP CALLING. I KNOW MY RIGHTS!
