Caller ID says NASSAUZNO1NY.  I don't answer calls like this.

he claimed he was from Verizon, but the number and caller ID do not belong to Verizon. Looks like scam, I blocked the number

Caller ID showed the number........didn't answer, they left no message....

He said he was from Verizon. Verizon said its not them. Thats reason enough
to turn them in to the FCC.

got the call today on the house phone.  Same caller ID as above. did not ans.  They left no message.  I save calls like this as Spam 01, Spam 02, etc..

/Called/, three times or more a day every call leaves a dead air message. When I finally decided to answer, there was a pause until the line connected for a person. The line a bland males voice claimed to be from Verizon, when I told him that this was clearly not a Verizon number he became harsh. Clearly fraudulent, hung up and blocked the number.

I have a device that blocks calls. As soon as I get a call from a number I don't recognize, I add the number to be blocked. The next time they call my number, it drops on their end without my phone ringing. I have my phone line hooked up so it will still displays the caller's ID. Don't have to worry about Do Not Call List. If they can't get to me, they can't bother me......

I just got a call from this number as well, after a brief pause (that sounded more like redirecting the call) someone spoke in Spanish pretending to be from Verizon, very polite he said "Good Afternoon", I noticed the caller id prior to picking up the call being from NY and knew right away it was a scam, I pretended not to speak Spanish (which I do) and the male said in hasty Spanish, "on behalf of Verizon" we thank you for the time to answer a couple of questions", I then hang up the phone.

I would like to buy that device.  Can you let me know the name?  Thanks

I get calls from 516-570-9228 every other day from somewhere in New York.  I'm in the Do Not Call list, so I choose not to answer.

Got call and they said they wanted to record my voice? Asked me to say the words YES and I would like that. Weird scammers.

The number showed up on my caller ID but no name.  I picked up without giving my name, and an electronic announcement said, "you are currently the only caller in this conference".  Then after a few seconds the line went dead.

This appears to be a robo-dialer, and when someone picks up it connects them to a conference line where someone else can get on the line.  Very sketchy.

This is certainly some kind of scam.

This number finally left a message after like 8 calls over the last few months. They asked to speak to my deceased [4 yrs] mother, clearly they weren't paying attention so didn't know right away they were talking to voicemail. They ended the call saying "if you have any questions call 1-800-VERIZON." Could be a legit call.

They call everyday, I don't answer the call. The name comes up Nassauzno1 NY
