Caller claimed he was from the Fraternal Order of Police.  They called at 8:09am.  Besides asking for money, isnt there a law for timing of these calls!

We've received a couple of calls from this number with caller ID: FRAT ORD POLICE. We don't pick up unless we know who it is...even if it has Police on ID, we don't care.  If it's something important they'd leave message.  It's obvious that they use the word Police to intimidate people to answer...but we're usually suspicious and not easily fooled.

He was okay.. playing humble but then got pushy last minute about mailing
a $ 10 pledge envelope.

Never give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 99% for themselves and sends 1% to the charity. Best to donate directly to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

I didn't answer.  They must have held a button down on the phone to scare me.  I'm tired of this.  This is the first time they have called me in a long time but I have received this call many times prior to today

They've called me many times from this number - never picked up.  Once I blocked this number, they started calling from 5129.  Blocked it too... :)

Yes, these aggressive, obnoxious, fat donut-guzzling lazy boiler-plate PIGS have NO RESPECT for ANYONE. They are the worst telemarketer-scum in the world. Why? Because they have several numbers and identities, like C4C FOR NY as well as FRAT ORD POLICE and they call first thing in the morning, or during dinner...and they don't shut the hell up. They insist on reciting their crap, and whatever you say, they give you the tough-guy voice and keep telling you to pay up. Or else? Listen, I call up my local precinct and get a "menu" to select from, and there's nothing but a phone answering machine at every number, and they NEVER call back. You call the main number and get a bored desk jockey jerk who treats you like your complaint is nothing and he's got better things to do. You're told to call 311 or 911 and leave 'em alone. Bottom line, BLOCK the long island hick sons of DOGS at 516-656-4117 AND 656-4112 and 5129. They are arrogant, twisted SLIME. Sit on it, bully boys. You don't deserve a thin DIME. You are SCUM. SCUM. SCUM. SCUM. SCUM.

You're kidding me right? Why so angry towards cops? They keep SCUM.SCUM.SCUM.SCUM.SCUM. Like you, off the streets. You sleep soundly at night while they are out risking their lives to protect SCUM like you. I can go on and on, but don't have the time on my hands like you clearly do to sit and bash you the way you bashed the police.

I think we need to separate the two groups here.

The police, the folks who enforce the law, are overwhelmingly nice and competent.  You may run across an occasional jerk, but that's true for any profession.  The police are necessary for keeping our society in operation.  And they risk their lives to save ours.  


Then there are the telemarketers presenting themselves as representing the Fraternal Order of Police They tell you they are collecting donations to support the police department, but they are really collecting donations to fill their own wallets.  The typically keep 90 to 98% of your donation to cover the cost of fund raising.  Those folks are the lowest of the low.  Never give them any money.

I just received a call from Frat Ord Police, it's a shame I was on another call. I would not have answered it anyway. I am so suspicious of anyone I don't know. They never leave messages. So I jumped on this web site to check out the # and YEP it's a telemarketer. Should have known. BUT if they are trying to get a donation for Police why would they think I would donate to them instead of my Local Police Dept. I'm no where near Glen Cove. Oh well another unanswered phone call for them. :)

They called saying that they were going to be breif then hung up.

Received a call while I was out.  No message.  leaveusalone you freakin rock.  No message no cal bk. Duces!!!

This call came in a 7:32 pm last night, good thing I didn't answer after googling it to see what it was. Some nerve calling people to try and solicite money and having the word "police" in the caller ID!!   Don't call again!!

My bro-n-law is a cop and he says they are a SCAM!

Idk bout you guys but for the last month I have a $10,000 case against these scrubs for harassment.   95 percent chance I'll win  best part.   Get a lawyer save the calls and messages then use it against them
