Caller promised $2,800,000 plus a white Mercedes to be delivered.  I was to go to Wal-Mart and buy $400 worth of EBay cards (they didn't say "gift card") and a lawyer would deliver the car and check to my home.  Only had two hours to secure the EBay card.

Received 8/7/20.  Answer machine message said that I was a grand prize winner of $2,800,000.00, $5,000.00 a month.  I would have to call and give them a payment in order to release my prize.

It is illegal to have to pay in order to get  a prize - especially one that does not exist!!

I received a robocall from 516-908-1596 & was told I won a Publisher's Clearing House prize & to call 516-908-1596. I called the number & got a robot message "Call Rejected".  I hung up & later received a call from 1-876-597-4535 who stated he was returning my call. I explained the above & he just went on to explain that I will be receiving a package today confirming my winnings of $500milliion, a Mercedes Benz, & something else. I told him I already got my mail. He said I need to pay $200 for the delivery of the package. I told him I don't have $200. He said I have to pay for the delivery of the package. I told him again I don't have $200 & to pass the winnings onto the next person. He had an accent I had trouble understanding, I finally said goodbye & hung up.

Scam! PCH doesn't call it's winners, they just show up on your doorstep. Nor do you have to pay to receive your winnings.

Robocall, said from Publishers' Clearing House. Gave proper address in Raleigh, NC but phone was in Hicksville, NY. (Really!!) Apparently a spoof number. The number referenced earlier as giving a callback, 896 597 4596, is definitely a spoof number. I was told I'd won $2.8 million and $5k a week for life.

    Apparently I'm Rich!!
Recorded message from Publisher's Clearinghouse informing me that I'd won $2.8 million PLUS $5k/week for life. Assured me that "due to the COVID-19 outbreak there will be agents available to assist with delivery schedule." Which is a good thing, I guess, since I never even entered the PCH. Perhaps one of them will be a Nigerian prince?

    VM deleted and number blocked.
