Just had a call matching this description.  Claimed my husband was needed for discussion of IRS fraud.  When I said that I don't discuss such matters over the phone, guy hung up.

Just got Indian dude message on our phone claiming the IRS has a lawsuit against us. Wanted to know if I had a criminal lawyer. What a fricking jerk.

i too received a call from a fella claiming to be with the irs thick Indian accent by the name of roger reid lol scam!

I really am sick of telemarketers!!!

The phone rings at 8:39 a.m. I checked Caller ID...it read Lansing MI, and the number.
I turn the answering machine volume off at night. I noticed the caller left a message.
10 seconds later, my voice mail light starts blinking.
I first listened to the short message on the answering machine.... people talking in the background, then the call ended.
I then called Voice Mail. A thick-accented, Indian ranted how I would be arrested if I didn't settle an IRS bill. He said to call a 1-800 or 888 number. I was so irked, I accidentally deleted the voice mail.

How in the hell do these scammers get our numbers? Worse, know our names?  
We don't owe a penny to IRS, and if we did, the caller wouldn't phone from Michigan.

Oddly enough, I just read an article, 'yesterday,' about this type of scam on Facebook. Calls similar to this idiot were being made in Maryland. The police stated the call came from a man with an Indian accent. Strange coincidence.

I wish local news and newspapers would alert citizens, 'especially the elderly,' about these calls. Via TV and the newspaper.

Indian accent. Said was Adam Wilson. Same thing will b arrested irs etc. Called me for my husband. All he did was laugh and hang up

Same person who called us and same number from Lansing michigan.

I got the same call from a person with a strong accent

Very threatening, stated tax IR code 6318, said I was behind on taxes and owed up to 85,000 dollars!

Got the same message from the same "Gary Anderson" with the same accent.  He had my name wrong, hence not giving it fully here.  Where can we submit this to proper authorities?

I received two messages on my voice mail from "Officer Gary Anderson" with the Tax Audit Service (from the Federal Government ) saying that my name (he has my name wrong) was reported and before I am arrested I need to call back this phone number, 517 507 5697 due to a local petition against my name.  He has a thick India accent.

Same message as above left on home answering maching from 517-507-5697 regarding
"being sued by the IRS". I did not respond to message or call back

Very threatening, Guy named Adam with an Indian Accent, I called the number back to tell him what a #$%^ing $%^ he is for running a scam but there is no answer then goes to a busy signal....I will keep trying to call the [***]!

Indian accent. About the only thing I could understand was IRS. 2:30 AM.

2AM!!!!!!!!!!  Left message threatening to arrest me.  "IRS", thick Indian accent.  

517-507-5697 called me at 4:47 am !!!    Thought the worst of course being waken from a sound sleep.  I answered it and nothing.....  Caller ID says "Lansing MI".  I got the IRS call a few weeks ago.   This madness has to stop !!!!!!

They are located in India and Pakistan and as such beyond the reach of US law, even if we could find them.  Invest in a call blocker and do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
