This number has been calling me repeatedly, many times a week for well over 6 months.  I have done everything I can to get my number removed but nothing seems to work.  If I call the number back, sometimes it is busy and sometimes I get an automated message.  The message says it is Insight Teleservices and they are calling on behalf of a charity.  They give an option to opt out of their call list which I have done at least 20 different times.  I have also talked directly to a call rep and asked for my number to be removed.  I explained that I don't understand why they keep calling because they are wasting their time and mine since I won't give them money.  Many times when they call, they are asking for someone else and I tell them they have the wrong number.  I found their website and tried emailing, but the mail comes back undeliverable.  I even tried filing a complaint with the FTC but it was rejected.  I don't understand why this situation would be rejected, they are blantantly ignoring my requests to be removed from call list.  Has anyone had any success in getting rid of these guys?

Just some additional info - I looked up Insight Teleservices on the Better Business Bureau's website.  The company is listed as an employment agency which doesn't seem to make sense since they appear to be call reps for charities.  They have a rating of F on the BBB site.

I've tried.  My complaint was rejected and I do not understand why.  What is the point if the FTC won't do anything?

The times that the FTC's online complaint form dumped my complaint were when my browser settings turned out to be incorrect but it didn't tell me what went wrong. The complaint form is barbaric in how it handles user errors. For example, you have to accept cookies (session cookies at a minimum) and let it script. If you're using IE, setting internet security to the default setting of Medium should work. If you're using NoScript, you'll have to add www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov to NoScript's white list. Also, the FTC will not act on any single complaint but people should complain because the FTC may do something when it becomes a big problem (FTC limited in personnel and hence number of complaints it can deal with at any one time).

I guess I should clarifiy.  I submitted a complaint to the FTC and it did go through, so there were no Internet issues.  I got a letter in the mail from the FTC saying the reviewed my claim and did not see a v iolation so they were closing it out.  That is where my question comes in - what is the FTC doing to protect us if they do not see this as a violation???

I LOVE to have fun with these people.  What I do when they call is pick up and then set the phone down without saying anything at all.  After awhile, they hang up.  Then, so do I.  It doesn't take long.

Alright folks, this is a bit extensive, but here's what you can do to stop these obnoxious con artists at 517-679-0754, that call themselves, "Insight Teleservices, Inc"

First, here's the problem. These hucksters operate under a fine line that "Legally" allows them to make unwanted calls to your home or business anytime they feel like it. Why? Because they claim they are a "Charity" and therefore you can NOT put these dirty rats on a National Do Not Call List! By the way, these "People" at "Insight Teleservices, Inc" are a fraud! They claim they ask for donations for "Children and Vets." Bold-face LIES! They're slime-ball con artists!

Here's what you need to do, and it will not take that much of your time:

First, know the definition of the word "Harass."

(1) : to annoy persistently (Like this "Insight Teleservices, Inc" does to our family by calling every single day! ) (2) : to create an unpleasant or hostile situation for especially by uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct (I can assure you that this creates an unplesant, uninvited, and unwelcome situation for our family, especially when most of the time these dirty rats won't even answer the phone! Also, these con artists claim you can just "Press 1, then press in your telephone number" to be removed from their harassment calls! Once again, NOT TRUE, they call anyhow, and all you've done by entering in your phone number is letting them know they have a verified sucker!

Last, you must call the Police Department in whatever city, or town you live. You need to ask the police in your area how to make an official "Harassment" complaint against these dirty rats!

Bottom line:
Call the police in your city or town! Know that it's your right to file an official harassment complaint!
The police are there to protect and serve. Be polite to the officer, but also be persistent that you want
to follow through with an official complaint.

We have received several phone calls from this number.  Many have been missed but show up on our caller ID.  Today, I answered and wasn't able to speak with them since I had company.  They rudely swore at me and hung up!!  They called again this evening and personally asked for me and when I asked, "who's calling".....they immediately hung up.  We are on several do not contact lists.  If anyone knows how to get them to stop calling....please share.

Getting calls from this number...Who the hell is it?

Call received at 11am Sunday morning. Male voice asked for me by my first name, I asked who was calling, he gave me a first name and three letters (didn't write it down), I asked for him to put this number on their Do Not Call list. Male voice stated he should not since I didn't tell him who I was. I asked him to stop calling me. He hung up.

Am getting these calls too, three in one day. no reply when I answer.  Am on do not call.

Rc;d a phone call from this number a few moments ago. Incidenatlly, in NJ it is illegal to block the name of your business when you call a personal phone number. Male person claimed he was from the "Make a Wish Foundation."  You must have a permit to solicite and call into NJ especially since your number is an out of state phone number! (517) area code is for Michigan.  If you are a Telemarketer representing an organization like the one stated, you MUST, by LAW, first state, that you are a Telemarketer calling on behalf of the organization you are representing!  All of this information can be found on the State of NJ's website under the Charity section.
I told the male caller we do not donate to any organization that calls via the phone anyway!  If you won't tell me who you really are, you won't get one penny from me.  When in doubt, check it out. If you want more people to donate monies to any organization, follow the laws of that State you're calling!

I get repeated calls from this number and I never get a person but I get a voice mail.  The message I get says:  You have reached the customer service line for Insight Tele Services.  If you saw our number on your caller ID, it was about a call we made to you regarding a charitable donation for one of our non- profit charity clients.  As you know, calls made on behalf of charities, non-profits and political calls are exempted from the federal "Do Not Call" list.  If you wish to have your phone number removed, from our calling list, please press 1.  

If you press 1, they say that your number will be removed from their call list.  They just keep calling anyway.  If you press any other number, they say "goodbye".

How can this be legal?

Suposively a non profit organization. The guy hung up when I told him the head of the house was not home. I called them a few times and the message is aboviously preset, badly. There is no dialing either so Mostly likly scammers. Do not donate to them.

they call almost every day and if you are there, they still dont say anything , call them back its a recording, tell them to take your number off the list and they dont!!!! I am so sick of these jerks, id like to know who they are!!!!!

The area code is from Michigan. I know this because I lived there for about 18yrs. However, I now live in another state and have for 29yrs. No message just calls whenever.

Just recieved a call, when my answering machine said we are not available the man stated "Not available? Your available to me. I got no freight" I work for a transportation company.
