Someone from this # called about the compliance books I ordered in August. My last name and suite # changed prior to August - they had the old information. When I asked the price of this item I supposedly ordered, "We'll get to that."  No we won't.  When I pointed out their error, she said the order would have to be put on hold and sent back to another department because my name was wrong. Scam. I DARE them to call me again!!!

Just got a call from this number today. They knew my name and said that the medical compliance book I had ordered in September had been printed and was on the way. I informed them that I had ordered no such thing and demanded written documentation. The woman seemed deeply offended, told me there was no way they could cancel the order and that the charge would be $379. I told her I would not pay it and she said she'd have someone from shipping call me. No call so far. This is a SCAM!!!

Same thing happened to me just now. I thought it was legit at first until she git to the part about the $379.00 invoice. I also indicated I never ordered the manual. Beware!

We received a call from this company today claiming that we ordered a compliance package in September and that it was ready to ship.  We informed her that we ordered no such thing and she argued with us.  We asked to see something in writing where we ordered anything.  She claims she needed to go back to the order department.  We will not be talking to Amber in the future.

Tried to call the number back and its been disconnected. Definitely a scam.

Asked for someone in our office, they kept saying no prob they would call back when I asked if I could help them, then hung up on me. Called them back, # is disconnected.

Got the same call (5 or 6 times this week). Same guy He asked for the same person in our office, had her first and last name. She freaked out when he told her $379 so she put him on hold and came to me about the call.  I let the call sit on hold for at least 15 minutes and he finally hung up. (I knew it was a scam).  He called back twice that day and was very rude to one of the other girls.  He called again 10 minutes ago and I let him have a piece of my mind!  I asked for his name and company.  He said Collins and he was with Healthcare Associates.I informed him she did NOT order anything from him in October for $379 and we would not be paying for anything from them.  He said he would send the order and info to his quality control dept and asked my name.  LOL>  these people are ridiculous!  WHAT A SCAM.  And yes the phone number is "disconnected".

I got a call today 3/15/2012 from this number.  I just got a rather strangely aggressive sales/purchasing call from a Woman who said her name was Molly Whitford allegedly from Health Care Research Associates. I don’t recall ever hearing of this company or ordering any books from them.
She said she was calling to confirm shipping for my purchase of 5 volumes of compliance materials and “my HIPAA program.”

When I said I did not recall ordering such a thing she said she needed to confirm FED EX to get this out today because I had indeed ordered it. I told her that I normally order my compliance materials through HCCA and CHA.

Still having no memory of this I asked her to confirm the name and date of the person who ordered the 5 volumes. She then said that because my phone number was there it must have been me. Then she was not able to give me my name.

Asked her for the price of what was supposedly purchased. She said $379.

I then offered to check with my assistant to see if we had indeed ordered this in case I had forgotten. She then said she thought she should ship it anyway because she was sure I want and needed this information.

I said that anything shipped which we did not order would be considered a gift to our nonprofit hospital. She then said she would cancel the order. I again offered to confirm with my assistant whether we had ordered such a thing and she declined the offer. Then I ended the call.

Told me that I had ordered the compliance manual in December. When I told them they were mistaken they hung up. They never gave their company name or where they are located. Scam city. The FTC and NYS attorney general should shut them down and lock them up.

calls and hangs up when I answer.  I wonder why they don't bother to give me the scam line they give everybody else on this site?  I get more of these calls, every day, it is the most annoying thing.  I am contemplating putting a call answering interrupt where people have to select numbers etc to get through to me.  I can't keep getting distracted by these stupid, idiot scam calls all day long.

I received a phone call from "Melanie" at 518-298-5646.  She said she was calling from Health Care Research Associates and was getting ready to Fedex ship multiple volumes of compliance materials which we had supposedly ordered. We had never ordered any of these materials and I told her this. She said that she would contact the "order department" and have them give me a call. I told her to forget it, we had not ordered anything, would not order anything, would not accept delivery, and would not pay any bills. THIS IS A SCAM.

II just received a call from this number asking for me and when I said this is Kathy they hung up on mee...What scam is taking place now?  I am the office manager so I am so leery when people cal and ask questions they can then record and use to say you ordered bogus products..

I received a call from this number yesterday, extremely pushy and rude individual named Sari. When I answered the phone she demanded to know my name, I a cautious person stated, well you called me so you should know my name? I also stated well I just do not give my name out to every caller for security reasons... so I then informed her that how this is going to work is you tell me your name and we will go from there, she finally complied and said she worked with HCRC? She stated that she spoke with my Administrator in January and he approved them to send A new OSHA material set to our location. Not knowing if this was true since she had his name, I listened, she then stated that someone would be calling me to confirm the shipping label and hung up. Well today, I received a call from an 1101 number stating that I had talked to Sari yesterday and I need to verify shipping. I said I was not going to verify anything until you tell me your contact information, business name, address and an legitimate phone number, since the one I called back yesterday was disconnected. The woman on the phone was rather rude and avoided the question... after my persistence of 5 minutes to get the name and number of her employer, she hung up on me..... SCAM...

For the last 6 months my office has received calls from this number and very dispturbing conversations. we record all our calls and have secured all the tapes, i ask if anyone has any idea on you these people are please blog the information so we can file it with FCC, thank you!

I received the same call, they are good !  Except when I asked them for my Purchase Order, they stuttered !!!  I told them, we cannot pay if there is no purchase order. She said she will get back to me. Caller name was Molly.

SCAM.......   I received a phone call today; 10-17-2012, from a man with a heavy accent asking me to varify my name and to verify my mailing address to mail my pre-ordered Compliance Materials / Manual, etc.  I explained to this person that I didn't order anything like that because I had NO NEED to have anything like that in my office since I don't have any employees and I didn't need to post any posters on my office wall to inform myself of my own rights, etc. I asked him "WHEN" was I supposed to have pre-ordered this material and he stated that I had ordered it online several months ago and that I was responsible for it's payment as soon as it arrived in the amount of $379.00 .   I explained to him that I was not going to varify my mailing address and if anything was mailed to my office that I would just deny delivery and it would be send back to whatever company who mailed it to me.    At this point the man with the heavy accent stated that the product would me mailed out to me as ordered with or without my verification of my mailing address.  Then the phone went dead.   Make a BIG note Not to answer phone number (518) 298-5646.    ---------  AT&T should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these SCAM Operations to continue year after year after year.  .  .   We could form a Co-op and have our own Telephone Company and call it  "The- Working- Stiffs- Phone -Co. and shut the scams down.  :)

I received a call today 11/26/2012 from this #.  The person stated they were Stephen and they knew my manager's first and last name.  When I asked if I could help him, he said no, it is not an emergency, he would call back, but just let her know that he called.  I asked, does she know who you are and he said HTRA client services and that she is already a client.  I said well can I have a # so she can call you back, and he said he was on an outbound line so she could not call him.  I said, so this is a sales call of some kind, and he said no it most certainly is not.  He hung up.  Who knows who he is.

MUMBLING SCAMMERS!  We received a call today 11/27/12 from this phone number.  The woman on the other line purposefully mumbled her name and the company's name.  I asked her to repeat herself several times and she started mumbling every time she gave her name.  She knew our doctor's name and said she wanted to fax over OSHA and HIPAA forms that he was expecting.  I tried to give her my email, but she only wanted the doctor's.  She was very persistent and aggressive on the phone.  When someone cannot explain what they are sending to you, don't give out any phone numbers or emails!

Just received a call from this number not on our mainline (12-5-12). They asked for my boss by name and I said he was out and offered his voice mail. The man denied it and said they'd call back at a better time.
I always double check phone numbers that aren't "usual" in our business. Especially since there was a delay between when I said hello and when he answered. That just screams tele-marketer.
Now I know what to do if he does end up calling back.
