pakistani or indian accent claiming to be Microsoft. I've gotten this call many times and my computer still works despite their claims.

Called from 518-299-9295 Wife answered (Kathy Dsouza) asked for ME . Wife said not home, Called number and reach Middle eastern accented man stating  windows security service. You must turn on your computer now your being hacked for personal info I challenged him to prove credentials and he disconnected. I hate scammers.

Message says something like your Microsoft computer is being hacked and you will loose all your important information , and a rocket ship will fall on your head, and the plague will visit your area and your mother-in law will permanently move in with you and....

Robo scam about problem with Microsoft Windows.

Got a call from 518-299-9295, just as the others in this group have reported. Saying same thing - CPU is under attack, Call them and they will stop it. Wied thing was that the caller id was 'Illegal Scam'

Caller ID displayed "Illegal scam"!  From the previous entries, it appears to be an accurate description.  Usually I ignore these unwanted calls, but today I picked up and then immediately disconnected.  Are our service providers now assigning descriptive caller ID names to help prevent vulnerable people from being targeted?

Says illegal scam in the caller ID Window Who  Would in their right mind would answer a call like this. I was out. They left a message Microsoft Windows. To call them right away. I don’t have Microsoft Windows. Of course it is a scam. BEWARE. Does it do any good to report this to the local police?

Called Saturday, 5/5/18 at 1:07 pm PDT. Caller ID showed "Illegal Scam" (I kid you not). When answering machine came on, left this message:  ...trying to hijackk your computer and tried to steal your personal information.  If it is not fixed right away your  computer will become obsolete and all your confidential information will be compromised. If you are the one using Windows on your computer , call 519-299-9295 and speak with Security Team... ?Please ignor if we called by mistake. Thanks.

Computer generated voice message. I never answer calls from numbers that I don't know.
Text of message on voice mail from home phone:
"Hello This call is from Microsoft Help Center we encounter a serious issue coming out of your computer it seems to be someone is trying to hijack your computer and try to steal your personal information if it's not fixed right away then your computer will become obsolete and all of your credential information may got compromised if you are the 1 who is using Microsoft Windows in your computer then please call 518-299-9295 or press 1 now to speak with security team now please ignore it if we called you by mistake saying."
