While checking this number on the Internet, I saw something about Level 3 Communications.  Calls from them have come from FL, also.  No message left on voice mail. # added to my Blocked List

Level 3 is a phone company just like Verizon and ATT.  They do not make the calls, their customers do.

Caller ID showed Albany NY. I don't know anyone there so, of course, I didn't answer. No message was left so that too suggests some scam.
    • Caller: I couldn't care less.

I answered because I have realitives in that area code...  I heard the click when it switched to an operator & I could hear Boiler Room noises.  I just set the phone down & hang up when it starts beeping.  Undoubtably some scam or other.

Caller ID said Albany NY. Man with heavy accent (Indian or Pakistani would be my guess) started a spiel about "senior care" and asked me if I had Medicare and whether I had lower back or knee pain. Told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

Called this morning.  As Susan mentioned, (Indian or Pakistani would be my guess) the lady said it was Senior Services and immediately asked if I had Medicare.
I asked who recommended us and what was her reference?  The line went dead.

Spam called  in "response to my request for for information about a back brace".  Never requested, don't need.  Beware, they're just after your money.

Actually they're after Medicare money.  There are dozens of TV commercials offering "pain relieving" back and knee braces for Medicare recipients.  The braces offered are cheap and of low quality.
As someone posted elsewhere on this site: " Every good orthopedist in America already always has technicians, physical therapists and suppliers of good durable medical equipment including braces, and can prescribe and fit one if you really need it.  These TV advertisers will want you to get a doctor's scrip to cover the cost anyway, so it would be much better to get it from the doc, if you need one at all.  A good rule of thumb is that if it advertises on TV or solicits you by phone, it's garbage...  whether it's pillows, toys, braces, blenders, funeral insurance, or anything else...all schlock for the vulnerable who can least afford to be scammed.  Often, a brace would do you more harm than good by weakening tendons and muscles, or acting as a tourniquet, and so on, overprotecting and immobilizing you.  If you are really in pain, see a real MD.  You may need something else, not a brace.  It might not be muscles and joints, it could be something else entirely and your pain is just a symptom."

Click, then non-English speaker saying they were calling about back and knee issues for Medicare patients - said 'no thanks' and hung up -  just another scam.
