This call is a SCAM. I repeat..This caller is a SCAMMER. Nobody paid for a Medical Alert System for you. These people calling are the scum of the earth. They pray on the elderly and the infirm. The sad part is that our government knows who these people are and the do nothing about it. If these people call you do not give them any personal information. Above all do not give them your credit card info.

Picked up the phone, but did not speak.  On the other end was a recording, telling me my "Medical Alert System" was ready to ship, and had been ordered by a "Medical Professional".  Since I have no relationship with any of those, we can assume the whole schpiel is fake.  Which we knew already, and used up a bit more of their time than not answering at all.  As soon as the number rings, they know it's a working phone of some kind.

Any company that calls me that does not identity itself on the caller idea would never prompt me to answer let along do business with them.  What are they hiding?

"Now in a new twist, the calls are offering seniors $3,000 in “food savings certificates” along with a free medical alert bracelet. The robo-call says the following message:
“For those sixty years old or older. You now qualify under the new National Senior Assistance Program to receive three thousand dollars in free groceries savings certificates. They can be used at over a hundred major grocery chains across the US. In addition to your three thousand dollars in savings certificate you'll receive a free emergency medical alert bracelet or necklace. This medical alert device is designed to save your life if you ever experience a fall or any other emergencies.”
The recorded message then requests that the receiver press 1 or 5 to accept or deny the free offer, in the very same fashion as the original medical alert phishing scam. It is not apparent at this time what personal information this updated version requests, but as the National Senior Assistance Program does not appear to be a real organization, consumers are advised to hang up the phone.
“The similarities to the original medical alert phishing scam are striking and demand caution,” said Julie Wheeler, President and C.E.O. of BBB Serving Western VA. “Never, ever, give out your personal information over the phone to an unknown party. Just hang-up the phone.”"

Pretty much another scam, with a phishing robo call. How are these scam numbers operational for so long? Guess all you can do is report it to the FTC, then block it.

NEVER answer a phone call (mobile or land line) from a number you do not recognize- if it's important- the CALLER will    leave a message. These SCAMMER/SCUMBAGS WILL NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE
