John Perez - DEA called and said that this phone came up with a Mexican Cartel and that I was under investigation for buying illegal prescriptions. I informed him he was full of S_ _ T and hung up. I then called the number on caller ID and an answer machine responded by saying this is DEA agent Doug Howard 518-557-6051 and to leave my name, phone number and he will return my call. I left a message for him to call the me and gave him the DEA scam hotline number. Poor guy had his online pharmacy closed and has to make money scamming people.

About 12 mon.  In 2012 Doug Haward call me. Said that a DEA person

would come to my house pick me up  because I order illesgle RX  ( i did  not order anything)
from out of the country. This doug had me crying! He said I would go to jail OR I could send $ 1600.00 fine. He really scared me!  Wanted me to send a ck. to some girl...(mex. name) in the D.rep. And told me not to tell my husband. I did tell my husband, that's when I google him, found out he's a scann.   He call again today! Went along with him, said they picked up a package in me name from a R.X. Co. (that I did not order). Ask him why he has music in a office? He play that down. The first phone call I could hear birds?  He said they would pick me up and take  me back to D.Rep. To face charges.  Are you kidding? Well we don't want that to happen he said that why I'm calling. About that time I was tired of his games. I told him he should google his name that he was a scamer, he said hold on and did it . Told him we have report him, badge # too. At that time he did not have much to say, he would call back, hope he call, phone are taped!  Remnber his name & John perez too. Report him! You did not brake any laws.  Think how rich he would be if he put all that work doing something lawful.???

i just recieved a call from 518-557-6051  saying they are from DEA and I had ordered some medication from a Dominican Rx and they have shut the Rx and i need to send some money  as a fine to them. Sounded all official  . BUT IS A SCAM.

SCAM do not send ANY MONEY to them.

Please tell me for sure this guy is a scam, he called me today with the same threats.  He sounds so convincing and well spoken too bad he doesn't use it for a legitimate job.  What do I say when he calls back?

Maybe someone from a real cartel will find Doug Howard and teach him how to do business.

Rec'd a call today (voice message) from a Mr. Michael Thompson who says he's a DEA Agent investigating an ongoing investigation in which my name came up. He said it is very, very urgent I call back  I said to myself this is impossible, and how did this guy get my number!  I called the number back (518-557-6051).  Reply is "This number is not in service".

On-going strange calls from this number left on my answering machine.  A Michael Thompson claims to be a Special DEA Agent investigating illegal activity.  Sounds real, but I knew something wasn't right. I researched the number via Google search.  They're coming from Schenectady, NY.  However, if you call the number 518-557-6051, automatic reply is "Number not in service." Definitely sounds like some type of scam!!!

These guys are funny and anyone who falls for this scam deserves to lose their money.

I got the same call yesterday from this number 518-557-6051, told me the same story, about getting my RX from
out of the county, he had me crying, said the same thing to me to send 1400.00 or I would go to jail, loose my kids
he also to me not to tell my husband or anyone,  He wanted me to send the money to a girl in the D.Rep. too.
I will report him.  He gave me the name Bryan Crowell and his badge #.  I hope they get this (what ever you want to call him)

I received a message from this phone number today, requesting that I contact a Mr. Miller because i am being investigated.  thank goodness for this website because i now know it is a scam!!!  thanks guys!!

Same scam. The guy was impersonating a DEA agent and demanded I send a "fine" to the Dominican Republic (!) or be arrested for some phony internet drug trafficking charge. I told him I'd get the money together and to call me back tomorrow, which he seemed pretty eager to do. I then blocked the number. Google "DEA phone scam" and learn all about how these scumbags operate. The DEA has even posted a press release about this, warning people not to fall for it.

A lady by the name of Perez called me said I was being investigated by the DEA that I had to call Special Agent Carl Micheals. I did call him and he said I purchased drugs in Columbia over 12 years ago and for me to call him back at a later date to seltle the matter. Talked with friends in the police department they said it was a Scam.
