called trying to renew magazine superscription offering two free airline tickets (yeah right)

could not tell me price or magazine.  transferred to supervisor.  after inquiring about price was informed that it would be 24$ i replied i don't want the magazines.  he said i was in a 5 year contract that i never signed or agreed to.  after threatening legal action he hug up.

They keep calling but leave no message.

This is an Area Circulation department that basically cons you into setting up magazine subscriptions. They leave out important details such as telling you a price let's say $40, letting you believe this is the total price. When in fact after they have your credit card information they go into the more descriptive details such as this is a MONTHLY payment not a total payment. If you didn't subscribe to something personally online or by mail DO NOT talk to them. They also have another phone number 503-473-0071 and possibly more.  Their customer service number is 800-324-9452 hopefully they can straighten this out. That or cancel your card.

I recieved 10 calls from the number listed above and as everyone else has stated, they do not leave messages. They call back to back at times which is annoying and will cause them to be blocked if I recieve another unwanted call.
