This number called today, accent and hung up when I asked who was calling.

Called 5 times within the last week. Did not leave a message.  When I called the number it was after 5pm eastern time and message said to please call back between the hours of 7-4 pacific time.  It did not state the companies name on the answering machine

Got 3 calls from this number just today.  Call is from Albany NY.   Haven't answered and will not.   FCC useless in stopping this and do not call register a joke.  

Got call from this number 2 days in a row.  No message.  Looked up phone number on my Time Warner review and it came up area code 518.  I called number, got a message they were closed, no business name given, and to call back between certain hours PST-Pacific Standard Time.  This area code, 518, is Eastern Standard Time.  This is a bogus solicitor.

Calls periodically and no one is on the line.

I've received 3 calls this week from this number, twice I picked up, and heard nothing on the other end. Just got a call today 11:50am EST, called back, and got "Our office is currently closed, call back between 7am - 4pm PST" and then it hung up. Don't know what "company" it is.

Been getting calls everyday for the last week from this number.  They always hang up as soon as I answer.  The one time they didn't hang up it was some Indian dude trying to get me to extend a warranty on a car I haven't owned in 10 years.  They tried calling me twice today already.  Luckily I can block specific numbers on my cell phone!  Even though it won't let them call me it tells me that they tried to.

I received four calls in just about a week from this number. I answered three and one went to voice mail. No message was left, but the three times I answered it was a different voice each time. One voice was disguised, sounded like a computer voice. Each time I told them to take me off their list and not call again. What they are trying to do (I think) is to get at our computers. Two of the calls I actually had a brief conversation with the people and they claimed that they received a request from my computer that I needed help fixing it because it was too slow.

I continue to receive calls from this number daily, sometimes twice daily. I have filed a complaint with the FCC, and I urge anyone else to do the same. Its a quick online form.  I have unblocked the number from my cell phone, and if they do call again, and actually pick up when i answer, they will be told a complaint has been filed with the FCC, as well as my number is on the do not call list, and if they continue to call, i will also be filing a complaint with the state Attorney Generals office and the do not call registry.

This number has called me daily for a week now. No message. I answered this time and it sounded like a switchover from an autodialer to a Middle-Eastern voice - but almost sounded like it was an imitation Middle-Eastern voice. The individual asked for me - first and last name. I told him not to call anymore and that . . . .  - they hung up on me mid sentence. Will be interesting to see if they call again.  I live in the 518 area code and the call says it is coming from the 518 area code. Hmmmmmm.....would like to know how they got my name.

I have been getting calls from this number daily on my cell phone as well. They hang up as soon as I answer.  Got another from them this morning. They did pick up one of the calls and it was the same as you described, some middle eastern person trying to sell a car warranty for a car I havent owned in over 10 years.   I filed a complaint with the FCC as well as having verizon wireless block the number from calling me. I urge everyone to file a complaint with the FCC against this number, the more complaints they get against this number I would assume would prompt them to take action.

Bogus number is right.  Has 518 area code, which is upstate ny, and their answering machine says they are on pacific time.

I think it is coming from some company that sells extended warranties for vehicles. I once got a call and told them I was not interested and now when the number rings and I pick it up I get the dial tone. I think their system knows my number was removed from the sales list so as to not waste time with another operator but the auto dialer still knows the number is valid because I will answer it. Now it seems there is no way to tell them to stop calling rather then just not connecting me to a sales agent.
I hate telemarketers. I would love to get all the owners of these businesses, put them all in a building and burn it to the ground. I pay for my phone so I can get calls I want, not to be bothered with worthless sales calls.

Second time they called. Spoofed number. Barely speaks English. Wanted to know about a 2008 vehicle I no longer own. Repeatedly tried to get them to tell me what company, the guy laughed would no answer my questions. I hung up. Placing them on block list.

I am in the 518 area code so I picked up.  Very stilted English speaker, believe it was a woman.  I pressed about how they got my number and they said it was from BMW and they were "authorized" extended warranty company.  But never got name of company from her.

Two days in a row this week, once last week. never anyone on the line. no name on caller ID, just the number.
