Ive been getting calls telling me i owe money from a loan company that i never borrowed from because first its a payday loan and i dont have a job so i dont understand wats goin on

I have also had a call from 518-712-4609 asking for my lawyer's phone number because they are filing charges against me, when asked what are the charges he said he didn't know and call this number 518-712-4609 which is the same number he called from.  I'm contacting the Internet Crime Compliant Center.

Ditto! I just received the same exact call. The caller couldn't give any knowledgeable info but tokd me to call that same # & ask for Ronnie Cooper @ ext 139........real fishy.....suspect

Just received a call from foreign speaking man he called from Averill Park New York. Asking for my Attorneys name. Told me there would be a lawsuit against me. I asked who was bringing a lawsuit against me and he said he did not know I should call Attoney Sean Wilson. He wanted my attorneys  information but could not tell me one thing about this. I told him privacey laws were being broken Have this so called attorney call me. Scam, Scam Scam. Also receive the same calls from Jacsonville Forida904-469-7944 same thing. They call at work, they call at home they call my cell number. They got all of my personal information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCARY. These people are scammers so I have read and they have your information from off of the internet...watch what you put out on the internet including credit card, debit cards, ss# etc......... beware of these numbers, these are not nice people.....and are doing things illegally.......do not give information....contact the police and give the number or give the person calling your Police Stations telephone number tell them its your attorneys number so the police have the scammers telephone number on file.

Its most likely a scam we need to bring this mf down asap this is AMERICA

I also just recieved a call from this number some guy with limited english reading from a script and being coached in the background telling  me file has been charged on my SSN for internet fraud for a loan i got over the internet, when I laughed and asked him to put ashton kucher on because I don't like being punked he hung up I called back to him I was reporting the for fraud I got hung up on ....

Just received a call from them and they told me that i have had a complaint field against me and that they need my information to seed me some documents and asked me did i have a lawyer. I cut him off in mid sentence and told him that i knew that that he was trying to fraud me and that i would be reporting him to the police and i hung up and he call back 3 times luckily i have call reject on my phone. These scammers will not stop !!!

Same thing.  "Criminal Suit" being filed against me.  I told him it was a good thing I was a criminal defense attorney.  

I imagine this is due to pay-day-loan scam i came across, but i also suspect the might be related to NCO financial, a debt-recovery slime-pit.  Any receiving this call also receiving calls from NCO?

Criminal charges call for my roommate this morning.   I picked up the phone to a man with limited English who called himself "Berry Black" (Really, now?) and demanded that my roommate call back.  He asked for my name so I told him it was "An Droid" and he hung up.

I recieved a call from a man who couldn't speak english well. He threatened me and claimed that a criminal suit was being brought against myself. His english was so poor, I listened to the voicemail three times. This thing seems to happen frequently to me, I'd love to find out how to stop these people and their constant scaming. Has anybody been sucsessful by contacting the police?

Unfortunantly as I have found out myself, the only GOOD way to stop them from bothering you is to change your phone number.  The people doing this are in India and not subject to US law, so as much as I wish it would help, filing a police report really wont help and didnt stop the calls to me either.  HOWEVER, when I changed my phone number, it stopped.  Now there is always the possiblity that you might get a recycled phone number (as I have read in other places on this forum) and then get calls from these jokers intended for someone else, BUT I can say that since I changed mine all the calls from these scammers have stopped.  Just another tidbit of infomation, my calls started when I listed my number on Facebook.  Maybe no connection there, but I did notice it.

You have to report them to the FTC.gov so they can go after people like this

Absolutely horrible, These scammers have called me at home and now at work. This should be stopped, but I cannot get any help anywhere.

I received this call too. A man who called himself Andrew, though had a very thick accent, said there was a charge against my SSN. When I said it didn't sound legitimate, he could not respond, I have a feeling he did not know what that word meant LOL Total Scam!

Hey Ive gotten the same call from the same number stating I had criminal charges pressed against me. I had it out with his so called paralegal. When I asked what it was for he couldn't tell me and all he said was he had the last 4 of my social. Be careful scam ID theft smells of this [***] , oh I have been in contact with the real Ronnie Cooper attorneys office and they are looking into it also. I so hope these non-English speaking scam artists get found out and soon.
