They called my DO-NOT-CALL land-line at 09:01 Pacific, today.
Their automated calling machine "talked" to my automated voice-mail system.
Standard "press 1 to lower your credit-card rate" scammer.

I have used <star><six><zero> to block all future calls from their number.

If you make a formal complaint for every one of these types of calls (instead of just being rude to the person making the call) then the CRTC gets involved, fines the company and the company removes your # from their list - or you repeat the process over again till they get the message.

I would like these nuisance calls from a mechanical voice saying"if you are tired of creditors calling you". My credit is great and i am tired of these annoying calls from this and other numbers.

They never get the message. The person on the phone would be better off going to the bread of life and get a meal instead of harassing people. The do not call list does not work

I got the same call "if you're tired of creditors calling you..", and I am on the DNC list, but this is still being abused by telemarketers. I have caler ID and did not answer the call. I have filed a complaint with DNC .

If that is the case, why are they still continuing to call me for over a year? How long does it take for the authorities to shut these people down?? In my opinion, filing a complaint is as useless as the people who are doing the phone calling..

As for the company removing your number from their list, I pressed 2 on several occasions to be removed and still get called. When I decided to talk to them and see where they are calling from, i get a different answer each time. I got calls from California, Arizona, and even Florida. So pressing 2 to be removed from their call list does nothing, they just give those numbers to someone else in another state.

Received call from this number yesterday (Apr 1).  Saw number on display so didn't answer. Thought it was probably a call center.  Am registered on DNCL and will report this to them. Don't know if it will do any good but I'm so fed up with these nuisance calls.

  Got a call from this number on the 25th of this month I ignored it.No message was left.I am on the DO NOT CALL list.Every thing was going well until recently. Now all hell has let loose with these unwanted phone numbers.These people could be better employed !!!

No one was on home they left a message it is your last day to pay amount.

today...Vancouver 12:09 PM.  Didn't answer.  No msg left

We received a call from the following number at 15:12 (3.12pm) Tuesday 28th June 2011 -
519-220-8461. We routinely do not answer unknown callers, preferring to leave our answerphone to pick it up.

Thanks to sugerray50 for the information given earlier on this page. We are now sending this page link to https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng because like many others we are on NDNC and have just been illegally contacted by this company. https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/plt-cmp-eng can read all of these comments and have the authority to pursue the perpetrators.

Just to further protect ourselves, we have blocked this number from calling us again and suggest everyone else reading this does too.

There is legislation to ban these nuisance calls.  However, I have learned that putting my phone number on the Do Not Call list only makes it worse as these people check it out and still call.  I don't answer the call when I do not recognize the number. Reading this tells me they harassing people by using the telephone.  I find it to be extremely discourteous.

I totally agree and I know that the DO NOT CALL list does not work because I found that the calls increased.  I get 6 or more calls per day.  I finally shouted into the phone "STOP CALLING" only to find out that the number calling stops, but then another number appears on my call display.  I am about ready to disconnect my phone service as the telephone company will not do anything about it.

Same deal. Now the message says I've recieved a number of courtesy calls to reduce my interest rate that have been ignored.

I use Vonage as my phone provider. have had the service for 25 months now. These [***] at 1-519-220-8461 have called over 10 times now, I've never answered to begin with but they seem to take big breaks from calling. Latest call was June 29, 2011, last one was back in April. Why anyone would believe their bullsh*t to begin with? I have the lowest possible credit card rate there is for all of my cards and A-1 credit so hopefully they sucker a few people to grab their scam offers because without those they'll be out of business I'd think.

Ditto about the credit cards & consolidating your debt - "final courtesy" notice!  Funny - I've got this EXACT same recording from 2 different numbers today - too bad it wasn't the FINAL one!  I got another one a couple of weeks ago & they left a msg on my machine.  And, yes, we are on the DNC list, but still seem to get these bogus numbers.
The other number was an Alberta number - 403-753-3221 - called it back - "not in service"
