When I tried to get information from the caller about the company she said they would call me back later then hung up.

had a call fom thhi # a few mins ago
said i had won  a 500.00 gift card or hotels in Canada  or  usa--would not send it in themail--someone had deliver it to home
did not accept the offer--wanted me to go to  London ont to pick it up.

I got a call from these people said i won a designer watch or a 500 dollar motel card. Wanted to deliver to my home and then proceeded to say that there is a catch !!! That i would have to help someone who has breathing issues. Then I said I think this is a scam and he went on oh we are number 1 and we have had no problems with the better business bureau. I then said no thanks and hung up. I never let anyone in my home that i don't know. There are so many scams !!!! You don't know who to trust so beware !!!!!!

"Angel" cold-called and denied they were selling anything (They are trying to sell you an over-priced ""air purifier"). I told her I was on the do-not-call registry. No response just arguments. Called the number and got more arguments from whoever picked up the phone. Said they knew better than did I about what they were allowed to do. Company name does not appear in call display. I have reported them BBB and CRTC.

I received a call from Platinum Air Care, from their 519 686-8458 number, indicating that they are on my street today (the correct street name was articulated) and before they get to my home, they wanted to confirm that my HVAC system was forced air as opposed to electric or a boiler.  I stated that my furnace was forced air and "that you are not welcome in my home".  The caller quickly closed the conversation and hung up.

My interpretation of the phone call content is that Platinum Air Care had some kind of pre-approval to be entering homes on my street, and that my participation was mandatory.  I can easily see how an elderly home owner could fall victim to allowing the company into their home, only to find out that their HVAC system was potentially dangerous and that everything needed to be replaced.

I am of the opinion that Platinum Air Care's marketing strategy is suspect for a company who claims to have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, let alone a company that would legitimately want to maintain their A+ status.

Caller stated that they were the "authorized repair agent for your purchased furnace". I then asked if they were affiliated with (name of my furnace dealer) and was told yes and that a repairman would like to come inspect my furnace first thing next day for leaks. I asked for a phone # to call her back as I was about to call my furnace dealer and ask about this service. She became incredibly rude and defensive stating that there was no need to do that since they are an authorized repair agent for (name of my furnace dealer). I told her either way I'd like confirmation from my furnace company and she called me a derogatory name under her breath and hung up.

Nice company and marketing strategy you got there Platinum Air Care. I'll be sure to let everyone I know what a scam business you run.
