This said "Local Call" with this number on my caller ID.  I did not answer and they left no message.

Got a call from this number on Dec 15 at 3:15pm. Called ID says Local Call.  No message.

Same as everyone else, called here and ID said Nogales, AZ.  My husband answered and he said no one was there.

Complain to the Better Business Bureau in Norfolk, VA about Portfolio Recovery Associates.  The BBB made them quit calling me.

They just called claiming to be fund raising for the Veterans of Forigen Wars, no one here is an active member of the organization. Friday night is an odd time to call dont you think? Who is home at that hour anyway? No income = no pledge money. Will next year or 4 years from now be any better who knows?

Hi - it could be the Committee for Missing Children, because they have been pestering me for a long time. I called back and a voice message said it was the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Arizona. The message said to call their main office during business hours on the East Coast at 800 470-2186. A voice message there (same voice) said it was the information line for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Then a woman's voice came on and said their lines are down for scheduled maintenance and said to call this number:
866-880-6535 for more information.
My gut feeling is that it could be a con game where they collect money in the name of some worthy charity, which they have nothing to do with.

We receive this call nearly every single day...sometimes several times a day.  Have not answered and do not intend to.  Will they get the message...sincerely doubt it!
