Have been getting seeing this number from Benson AZ on my home phone for weeks & now on my cell. Don't recognize & don't answer. Both numbers on do not call list. Thanks to all posters. Being retired maybe I should answer and tie them up for hours just so they can't bug anyone else. 😎 Old age and treachery rocks!

What is up with these random numbers just calling my cell phone lately.  Just got a call from 520-265-8782 no voice mail message and when I called it back it just rings busy.  So annoying.  I don't know anyone in Benson Arizona nor by that phone number.  I'm blocking the number.

Deceptive caller ID is "Customer Service", recording talks about your rights under the law to "reduce your electric bill up to 50%".  Obvious solar energy sales call.

I filled out a request for a reduced power bill, slightly subsidized or profit-reduced power bill, because I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income. This number called me to inform me I have been approved for the reduced power bill program.

Not a telemarketer. Just bureaucracy and response to my APS application.

I repeatedly receive calls from this number and do not know the person or company calling.  This is annoying and against the law.  My number is on the "do Not Call" registry.

They were calling me about 1x per day with what sounds like a political message with some baloney about reducing home owner's electricity bills (why not renters?!). When I finally listened all the way through, at the end it said to Press 3 to be removed from the call list. So I did. We shall see...

Ditto on the call from 1-520-265-8782. My answering machine picked it up as an international call and yes it was the old scam lower your electric bill scam.

You qualify for lower electricity rate! Yay

The company behind these calls is US Renewable Energy Program which is a solar technology telemarketer.  In their spiel, they say they are fighting a proposed utility rate increase.

They called here at 5:25 am! Robo call

Called my cell phone 2ce within 20 minutes - I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize and they didn't leave a voicemail.

Go get em Big Ed!   You are a Hero!

My favorite is to act like I can't here them and make them repeat the scam over and over again, then talk about using a walker and planning ahead to hit the head,  Then start making sound effects while asking them about this Great information they are sharing and how you need to invest your savings in such an important opportunity,  Then give them fake credit card data you can get off the web.  So when they bill THAT card they have to expose themselves to fines for billing false accounts during their fraud attempts.   Eventually they will have to pay them or show up in a court somewhere!

Called cell twice over 6 days.  Rejected call both times, no message either time.  Thanks to other posters for info. Now I know I can safely block this one!

i answered this one, heard nothing, hung up, but i regretted answering when i took a moment to see the number and see it was an out of state area code.

Called today on my cel, left no message. I was on another call, but would have answered because it is local area code. Glad for this site, I check almost everyone who doesn't leave a message and its bloody amazing how many scammers are out there!

Called my phone....they never would answer then they hung up.  My number is on national do not call list.....obviously not a legitimate call

Called while cell phone was charging.Left no message. Do not know this number or anyone in Arizona that would contact me or I them. Hope this helps. Thanks for the info everyone.

They called me at 6:25am! They didn't leave a message. i called back and a recording immediately answered saying, "Press 9 to be placed on the do-not-call list" then it hung up on me before i could even press 9. I called back 2 more times and kept getting a busy signal. Definitely sounds like a telemarketer. I will add this number to my collection / contacts and assign a funny voicemail for them (using Youmail app) if they do call back.
