You have just confessed that you did not read the words when you signed up for the DNC list.

1.  The DNC registry is NOT meant for business lines.
2.  Survey organizations are exempt from the DNC requirements.  SSI is "Survey Systems International".
3.  The DNC registry is for legitimate telemarketers, not telespammers.  Telescum do not care about the DNC list.

They called at 10:30pm (Michigan time) but I missed the call. I get a lot of late night calls from unknown numbers in AZ, where I used to live. No caller ID, just says unknown caller.

Slim, I totally get it. And, I get that they are probably from outside the US using a VoIP number and not subject to US law. What I don't get is why I'm stuck paying for a phone line for them to abuse! Do they call that masochism?!?
Update: They started calling again today... at 8:20pm and 9:15pm. They must be calling from Hawaii's time zone where the sun hasn't set yet.

As long as you obviously have caller id, simply get an answering machine which announces the calling number, and you will not need to even get up to determine when it is these, or other, unknown AH's calling, then simply ignore the call. Been doing it for years --let the phone ring, and don't even approach the phone, unless you recognize the number. The phone ringing, until the machine answers the call, can't possibly be as annoying as the inane TV programs, and their commercials.

Received calls from this number and tracked it to the company's web page, (Survey Sampling) where I read what is below.  I "opted out".  Time will tell if it works.

"To opt-out, please email us at optout@surveysampling.com (please include the phone number in the body of the email.) To opt-out by telephone, please call 1-866-360-9563 from within North America or 1-801-379-4094 outside North America to be placed on our no-contact list."

Caller attempts twice a day to contct one of my adult children and claims that they are not selling anything.  However,  they also do not leave any message.  A quick scan of the web does not readily idenyify who this organization is.  It is highly unlikely that this is a government entity.

Received a call today at 5:38pm.  Did not answer as caller ID indicated SSI.  No message was left so guess they did not want to identify themselves.  BLOCKED 520-265-8961 and will block any other SSI numbers that do not leave messages.

only recently started calling .. called 12.06 pm Saturday and 6.30 pm on Sunday.  I don't answer numbers I am not familiar with

Call from this number today. They did not leave a message. Caller ID said, "SSI"

wanting to do a late night 6 question survey....no thanks...came up as ssi on caller id

Just called my dad's phone at 9:10pm. CID said ssi. Left no message.  Aren't there laws when these people can call? I guess scammers dont follow those rules either

Called 3 times in a row just now - call blocker got them every time.

Called at 9:18 on Weds. 9/14 Left message about wanting to talk to me. Scam. Social cecurity if they call you will not call at that time.

As long as they're only doing a survey for research then no.  It's legal.

Supplemental Security Income.  It's disability for people with no work credits.  SSA would handle anything to do with it.  It's not an office just a classification.

WRONG! It is a SURVEY COMPANY with the same initials! The company in question is 'Survey Sampling International' and they are in NO WAY connected to Social Security

1-520-265-8961 is SSI/ Survey Sampling International. Survey guy asked who I was going to vote for and other Election questions.
