Message left on my machine at 8:25 am (called while I was trying to get by baby down for his AM nap - that's annoying!):
"Hey Laurie, this is Jacob with GC (or DC) Services.  I need you to call me back at 877-551-9752. You can reach me at extension 406029.  This is not a telemarketing call.  I have important information for you and it is tied to your Social Security Number.  Just trying to help you out here.  Call me back as soon as possible."
I'm not Laurie, don't know who she is, and don't have any known business with this company.  Seems to me like a phishing scam, especially when it's cryptic about being tied to someone's SSN.  He likely said it wasn't a telemarketing call because on my outgoing message I ask telemarketers to take us off their call list as we don't accept telemarketing calls.

Yeah, so I answered the phone, this exact number. A female voice asked for my brother . . I was completely confused and, haha, I ended up phishing out nonsense; words that weren't even apart of the English language so I could scare her and hung up.

But other than that, they've kept calling, voicemails were left, voices changing - from female to male.

some guy called me 30 mins after i got off work.. saying he was calling about some private loans i owe.. funny thing is i never applied for private loans.. I am paying off my student loans.. this guy called me 5 times in a row after i cussed him out... my step dad picked up the phone and told him this is herrashment... the guy left a message telling me to call him back i had already talked to him... So i decided i should look up the place... I dont understand after 4 years how they can do a law suit... this [***] is funny. im going to talk to one of my cop friends and see what they say.... I have been paying off my student loans for 6 months now and i think these people are funny and dont know how to get real money.... Has anyone else reported them to the cops to see what was going on with this company...

Ok so another guy calls me the next day im at work 08/18/2009. im enjoying my day... he then starts naming a place where i last lived well atless he got the town right he started telling me i know what he is talking about.. I then told him yes i know the town but not the damn street.. i hung up then he called back again i said stick up ur a$$ and leave me alone.. i hung up he called back again i said call one more time and im going to record the call and then he hung up. well they havent called back.

My boyfriend just got one and told him he would have our attorney call back and deal with the matter. Hooray for prepaid legal!

ok so this guy matt calls me again i told him that i was going to have my lawyer call him and find out what was going on... matt told me know just to give him his name and number... i told matt no thanks i rather not i will talk to my lawyer and let HER know you need to talk to her.... this guy kept thinking my lawyer was a guy...well after i kept telling him no i kept hanging up on him... well a friend of the family answered and told him she was my lawyer and wanted to know what the call was about matt wouldnt tell her what the call was about all he wanted was her info she said if a call comes threw again she will be recording the call and sending it to the cops and they will handle it.... Well that all went down on tuesday aug 25.. around dinner time this [***] have no respect for people...

This same number calls me asking for my son-in-law...sorry dude, he is a little busy dodging bullets in Iraq right now and doesn't have time for your BS.  I think I will report to the Attorney General office & Better Business Bureau.  Why would they call & harrass & threaten ME for a supposed debt my SIL incurred before he even married my daughter?

cause they think you will give them info...and all we can do is sit back and let them call calls we cant report them to the business bureau since they call themself a collection agency....Now we can report that they dont use thier own number but they are spoofing a real business.. Alot of people are getting called they changed the reason why they were calling me so watch they might call you back and give you another reason....

This number calls from Tucson, AZ, 1-5x per day, and has been for the last 2-3 months. This is getting old. When they call, they ask for me to verify my social security number and birthday. When I ask them what it's about, they get beligerent and nasty and say I have a student loan 'debt'. So I ask them to identify the debt, and send me something in writing, and I also tell them I'm recording the call and they hang up ~ after they tell me I 'can't do that'. Still don't know who the *F* they are and they refuse to send me anything (I paid my way thru college ~ 20 years ago). There are a few other people in the area with my same name.
NEVER EVER give out your personal information, even if someone threaten you. DON"T BE SCARED by these calls. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. Even if you ARE in debt, you still have PERSONAL RIGHTS.

By the way ~ no, they're NOT from the Dept. of Education. They just SAY they are. Crooked company trying to scare people. SHAME ON YOU ALL! Get a real job and use YOUR education.

I answered it this time. He said it was Philip. Then proceeded to harass me. I told him to hurry up and say what he had to say as I'm a busy person. He kept asking me if this was so and so. I asked him if he was [***]' stupid and couldn't hear. The idiot then kept asking if it was me. So I said look jack ass you had your chance and now I have to go. CLICK.

Three calls so far today - Christmas Eve.  I'm glad I'm not a collection agency loser working today.

Calls periodically and never says anything.  I am a student currently and my student loans are not due until I graduate.  Don't know who they are calling for.  Would love to have this number blocked.

Continues to call leaves no message.

Just received a phone call from 520 293-2596.  Caller was unknown male asking for someonethat does not live with me.  I said I don't know that person and you people have been calling me and I keep telling you that no one with that name lives here.

Woman called my ex-husband and stated I needed to call her urgently because I had submitted a job application and they wanted to interview me. He said he couldn't help her as I was unavailable. Did a reverse look-up and found this site and others. Illegal!

They called several times today, hanging up when I picked up. I am pretty sure these calls are for the former owner of this number- she has many creditors after her, apparently. Of course, I've had this number for five years, you think they would update their records.
