- MomLegitimate roadside assistance follow up
- Caller: USAA/HYUNDAI
- mike| 1 replyTowing truck company called and left computer message (voicemail) that tow truck would be arriving in x number of minutes. This was via liberty mutual road side assistance. So number is legitimate. For those getting spam calls they are probably spoofing the number.
- Caller: towing company
- Call type: Event reminder
- Tygerkat replies to mikeDo you often look up numbers when you know to whom they belong?
- mw replies to annoyedYes, phone number is legitimate, but they do rabidly follow up to see that your tow truck arrived. Some operator must have typed in the wrong call back number for their client and it ended up being your number.
- PaulThis is the company that provides roadside assistance dispatch and claims for several companies, including insurance companies like Liberty Mutual. I had complained about a tow truck and this was a followup call re my complaint.
- Call type: Valid
- Here in NJI did have roadside assistance today, but since I didn't recognize this number (or the other two that called) I didn't answer. No VM left either. It would be nice if there were some significant identifier for these calls.

- Mike H. replies to D30-89Avis Road Side Assistance, legitimate call.
- Craig| 1 replyThis is not a legit number. It is a spam caller/texter pretending to be roadside assistance. I texted back that they had the wrong person. Then they called and I told them again I did not ask for assistance. For the next hour they called and texted repeatedly from 520-770-4732 and 361-756-3939, until I finally blocked them. DO NOT answer their call or text.

Forward unwanted text messages to 7726 so that your carrier will block them. Some carriers do not accept that code and if that is the case then contact your carrier about how to block unwanted text messages. Also, never, ever click on a link as it will probably install something nasty to your phone that you really will not want to deal with and never, ever respond to one because that lets them know that they have a good number with someone on the other end. It will result in more calls and texts.
Report them here: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#&panel1-1 - GbrzlMy husband and son were in an accident, so they called the police, then our insurance company, USAA. USAA contacted a towing company who towed my husband’s truck from the site of the incident. This number called us a few times with automated updates to keep us informed: 1) ‘Name of towing company’ will be towing your vehicle. 2) Towing company’s ETA is X o’clock. 3) Towing company has reported they have procured your vehicle. If this information is incorrect, please call USAA.
Like some of you, we do not often answer numbers we do not recognize. However, at 11:00 p.m. we rarely, if ever, receive phone calls, also, considering the circumstances at hand we felt the number would most likely prove legitimate. Hope this information is helpful.- Caller: Roadside Assistance

- Another companyWe have been getting calls from "Agero" from this number asking for us to tow for them, advised we are not in the towing business and to remove us from their call list. We spoke to several different people and the response is anything from a hang up, to apologies, to forwarding to manager. No resolution and no ability to speak to someone else as they "are a call center that does not accept inbound calls" and any form of management is conveniently busy.

- DTI don't think this is any one specific roadside assistance program or insurance company. I think they're contracted with the insurance company - or whatever somebody bought that coverage from. From my past conversations with them, they aren't the actual tow company. They're simply a service you call, then they start calling around the local area you're stranded in until they find a company that will come out and help.
We have an RV repair business and they've been calling us since 2015. I've told them over and over we don't DO towing, and do not have a mobile (roadside) repair service. Tow trucks bring vehicles TO US and then we repair them. I finally had to block the numbers they've called from (520-770-4732 x 6, and 817-355-3405 x 9).
We never buy any roadside coverage from an insurance company or a vehicle dealer because this is what you get. Stick with AAA for that.- Caller: Roadside Assist

- MARYANN FROM MOAgero Motor Club — provides roadside assistance for State Farm, USAA, Progressive, Nationwide, among others. The phone number belongs to Agero, the roadside administrator, NOT any of these insurance companies.
You’ll likely see this number if you call for roadside and 1) a roadside representative wants to follow up; or 2) the automated phone call comes in asking if service has arrived....
Been through this many times before! Not many good experiences..........- Caller: Agero Motor Club

- RTI didn't answer because the call was from Arizona and I was in Indiana. it turned out to be roadside assistance (which I did call for my vehicle) so it's a legitimate number.
- Heather MinerFollow-up call from Roadside Assistance. Did not leave a message, but I was getting my car towed. Not spam.

- MomThis number called three times and texted once. I didn't recognize this number so I didn't answer. They finally left a computerized message. I looked them up on this site and saw all the comments. Jerks.

- IbarraThis number called me twice saying they're Progressive to confirm I needed roadside assistance after already speaking with my insurance, then proceeded to tell me I didn't have it and I could set it up now for $64 and I said no thank you and they hung up.
