Fake call from the "US Treasury Department" saying there is an action against you and you must call back immediately.  The caller and those answering the phone have distinct Indian accents.  Hung up on me the moment I told them I was an attorney.

I received six calls in two days threatening me. How do I stop it?!?!

Received two calls form this number today.
I did not pick up to answer.
First time there was a message left from someone with a heavy accent about some action suit.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

The Caller said that I am wanted for a criminal felony and that I need to cooperate with them.  He did not identify himself by a name or company, just pressured me that it is urgent that I call him back and cooperate with the federal investigation.  I did not return the call, of course.  I have no idea what he is talking about.

Yes I got two messages on my phone today and yesterday voice on the phone states that his name is Steve Martin from the federal registry stating that there is a pending legal against voice was a very distinct Indian accent total scam so just for [***], and giggles I called them back told them that I was a police officer and he hung up.

We appreciate your post!  I am also contacting the federal and my local authorities to report this scam. We also heard from "Steve Martin" who asserted that ignoring his call will result in a "grand jury" or federal "magistrate judge" contacting us about a "federal criminal offense."

I have gotten about 5 calls from this number, which I have not answered.  The final straw was when I got a call at 1:48 A.M.

The name on my caller is Archer, he sounds like the same person who called me about 8 months, which was also a scam.

called and left a very electronic sounding recording stating something in regards to enforcement action by the US treasury, and if I ignore the call it will be a second offense to not appear in front of a judge making it a criminal offense and that I should return the call to 530-406 9951 which IS NOT the number the call came from. The voice also had a very heavy eastern continent accent, not English. I wont be returning the call
