Calling saying there from the government and have 9 thousand plus for me; that's as far as I get, I hang up and block.

These same people tried the same scam with a different number;  when they figured I blocked them they used another number.  These calls came about an hour apart.  With the same sounding person on the line.

I didn't answer, mainly because I don't answer ANY number I do not know. Glad to know it was a scammer I did not have to deal with - again.
I stopped answering any unfamiliar number when I was beginning to get 4 to 10 sales/scammer calls a day. Doing that has probably saved me 500 hours that otherwise would have been wasted with [***].

They just called again, of course I did not answer. I wonder how long it will take them to give up like the 3,841 scammers before them. I love caller ID!

I just got this call too. It sounds like from call center with background noise. I asked him three times from which US government department, But I can't make out what department he said. I told to him "No, I don't want over $9000 from US government". He then politely said "Thank you for your time, Good-bye".

Got a phone call from this number, did not pick up.

Have not picked up.  Tried calling back but, the number would not go through.  This same number has called 6 times in a 24 hour period.

Call from US Treasury Department, speaking English very poorly... yeahh right.

I also got a call from 540-358-5789 about US government send me $9000 with foreigner accent.  I told him mail it to me. He said thank you and I hung up.
I love our caller ID.  However,  I should not pick up number that I don't know!

Got a call from this number.  I played along for a little bit.  She asked for my zip code.  I asked didn't she already have it?  She asked again.  I asked why she need it.  She hung up.

Called with a very thick accent from a very loud call center. Said he was from the Treasury. Scam.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from some branch of the US government offering me a couple thousand dollars "tax free". I said that this sounds like a scam and she immediately hung up.

That's the first hint. Yes. Used by several other "scammers". I can't believe none can't do anything to these people. I usually answer (if I have the time to deal with them) and after ll they do their speech, I tell them they are 'scammers' and they shouldn't bother innocent and naive people with those ridiculous things. Usually, they hang up on me but, at least i them what they deserve.
Once, I even was able to track the mobile phone they were using and call them from another phone I have at home and once I have both scammers connected, I just gave them my speech. Obviously telling them I was calling the police.
And, I save all the phone numbers in list of contacts as "SCAM". They are so .... they call from same numbers several times. So, i am prepared to attack.
