missed a call from 540-885-7590. 8:22pm on 6/12/08
called back and got busy signal several times

I have been ignoring phone calls from this number for a month; they never left a message.  I finally picked up today, and apparently I won a prize from a raffle for a free car I signed up for.  I have not 'claimed' my prize yet so do not know if this is a scam.

I rec'd this on my cell phone.  I have also rec'd this call on my phone at home.  They never leave a message.  Would blowing a whistle in the phone do any good or is this a computer dialing the numbers?

Received a call today from this number, they refuse to say who the were, and what the call was concerning.

This is not the first we have receiced calls frome this number.

I had a missed call from this number on a Saturday afternoon so I decided to call it back. A guy answers so I ask if he just called me. He asks "What is your #?" so I give it to him. Then he goes on to tell me that my name was chosen out of a drawing and that I could choose from the following prizes:
A) $25,000 towards a new car
B) a $500 visa girftcard
C) a 10 day cruise for two with roundtrip airfare included
He gave me some 800 number to call and ask for "Maria" and she would tell me how I could get my prize. I was smart enough to ask what the name of this company was and he was dumb enough to give it to me. They're called "Marketing Masters Incorporated" and if you do a search you will get results of people saying its a scam and they will try to get you to buy a timeshare. If you ever see this number, don't answer it!!

Yes this is a scam to get you to go listen to a timeshare sales pitch.  I think it is ridiculous this is the way they have to operate to sell their units!  Keep reading and save yourself the time you will be wasting.  I entered a drawing at the Mall and received a phone call that I had won and was guaranteed one of the following prizes:
-  $25,000 towards a new car
-  $20,000 Cash
-  Cruise
-  $500.00 Visa Gift Card
Congratulations the guy told me!  I asked him what's the catch?  There is no catch he said.  Really?  I don't have to buy anything or sign up for anything to claim my prize?  He said no just call our Rewards Center and they will let you know which prize you have won.  OK- Well I'm not really acting excited because I don't really believe I have won anything, although the thought of winning was nice so I'll play along.

I was given a "Rewards Code" and told to call 1-800-797-3052 the next morning between 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.  I was also told to ask for Maria.  So the next morning I called and asked for Maria, surprisingly I had gotten her on the first try (Wow my luck is certainly changing for the better).  She proceeds to tell me that not only have I won one of the four prizes but I have also won a One week vacation for 4 to Florida and a $50.00 gift card to use for gas!  All that was left to do is figure out a time for me to come to the Rewards Center @ Wilderness Presidential to claim my prize.  While at Wilderness Presidential they will match my Prize Code to see which one of the four fabulous prizes I have been so lucky to have won, while I get to go on a 90 minute tour of the place.  Realizing that this is what this person "Maria" does all day long - basically scamming people making them think they have won something while all along trying to trap them into some dreaded timeshare or as she called it "Recreational Tour" is very sad and must be a truly unfulfilling and unrewarding job to report to each and every day.  For those who work for the company who will most likely never read this Shame on you!  Go use the skills you have in another way.  There are enough scams out there to day why contribute?  If someone wants to be part of a Timeshare or Recreational Resort they will call you because they really have an interest.  For those of you who also receive this call remember You don't get Something for Nothing!

been a while I see but they are still at it from this number

I received the same call today, with the same four "prizes" listed.  I know that they got my info somewhere other than a contest, because I never sign up for prizes or contests, and have been almost bed-ridden with heart problems for the past year +.  Just wanted to post to let you know they are still calling and it is still a scam!

Just answered the call from this number (they are very persistent) and said I won a chance of a car and they have to verify information:  like am I married, do I own a home and do I make over a certain amount of money.... Ha.. told them one word 'no'... they said thanks and hung up.  Maybe no more phone calls.  540-885-7590 .......

Same thing as posted below.  They claim to have gotten my name and number from a trade show I attened 4 months ago.  Don't bother!  It's a timeshare scam
