There have been several telephone scams in which the caller tries to elicit a "yes" answer from the called person.  Those scams have been around for at least four years.

The good part is ... Snopes states there are NO verified reports of people actually getting charged solely because of their "yes" answer.
    http://www.snopes.com/can-you-hear-me-scam/

Do you have any PROOF people have lost money because of the supposed "say yes scam"?

    Interesting observation:
    * Several posters claim the "say yes" scam caused multiple people to suffer financial loss, but canNOT give us links to prove that contention, and cannot state how people lose money if they do not give card or bank information to the caller!

    * Even more posters seem to be unaware of the truly dangerous IRS Scam.  The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) reports many victims who have collectively reported over $55 million in financial losses as a result of tax scams over the last three years.    That is a LOT more than the $0.00 loss so far verified for the "say yes" scam!

In any case, be careful about giving strangers your precious financial info!

What possible thought process suggested that we called you,  your caller reads your posts here, or your post will effectively stop calls to you?
(Reply to this post to help us understand - we REALLY want to know! - or ignore it, and confirm your lack of comprehension)

800notes.com did not call you, cannot block calls for you, cannot put you on or take you off a "list" and cannot report calls for you.

Yet again, another number I don't recognize and they never leave a message. I never call them back. Also--as is the same thing that has been happening more frequently to me over the past month or so--when I check these numbers here, I see comments about "Car Warranties".

I have blocked more numbers in the past 4 weeks than I have ever done in my entire adult life (16 years). However the frequency of these types of calls has been increasing. Such an annoyance!

The solution is for everyone to file complaints for every such suspicious number with their State Attorney General, fcc.gov and ftc.gov, which is free. When a magical threshold of complaints is reached, they will team up, locate the perps, shut them down and prosecute. But, everyone must file a complaint!

Filing reports about getting a missed call will only wind up getting deleted, since there is nothing to investigate and every report like that only makes it take longer to sift through them to find actual criminals.
