- william replies to KatieI just got the call again but this time they said they were from 247 advances. they said that i was behind on my payments and i havent even taken out any loans. SO, i think its a number that other companies can use to call out and not be known for who they are. i am a customer service specialist and there are numbers like that in our switches.
- Spam Buster replies to Katie| 1 replyThis is an online pharmacy. Every time they calkl I ask if they want to buy drugs. It totally messes them up...LOL

- HarboriteWe are haunted by repetitive calls from this number which either disconnect or instruct us to press 2 to be removed from their calling list: after complying by pressing 2 the calls increase in frequency. No one ever speaks and the calls eventually disconnect only to ring back again.
- CybieChick| 1 replyAh yes, just got the 12th call today from this number. This is ridiculous! You can add 877-890-1211 to the list! The story today is home loans.
Freaking ANNOYING!
Oh yea, also, I am already on the "Do Not Call" list - registered a few years ago and just re-registered a few months ago just in case. I suppose it *is* working to an extent since it's the same company calling over and over - and not all of the rest!
Good luck to you all. I feel sorry for the day-sleepers!- Call type: Telemarketer
- CybieChick replies to CybieChickI take that back - They have called 16 times today. Every 15 minutes! There will be another in approximatately 10...
Like another poster here, I have AT&T (or Cingular to some) and I guess it will cost me money to block them. I tried to just do it with my phone but I am guessing it won't work?
I just got a Blackberry Pearl so I am still learning how to use it, haha.
Good luck! - Place of businessEvery fifteen minutes for the past two days I have been receiving the same phone call. At the end of the recording you are given two options. Pressing 1 is supposed to put you through to a live person. Which I have tried numerous times and the outcome is they hang-up. Pressing 2 results in a quicker disconnect but they still call back. Here's the recorded message:
"This is an important government announcement regarding your mortage. Apparently, government authorized home loan modifications are being made available in your area. This program applies to you if you've been unable to re-finance or have a high rate of interest. It applies to you if you are behind on your mortgage payments or even if your in foreclosure. We can help. Just press 1 now, and you'll be connected to a live loan modification specialist, or press 2 if you'd like to be taken off our preferred calling list."- Caller: unknown

- Rebecca WordCalls from this number started to my business line 8/26 around 3 pm; continued about every 15 to 30 minutes until 9 PM. Started again 8/27 at 8 AM (today)and has continued every 15 to 20 minutes. Recored message says they are a government assistance program to help people that are having problems with high mortgage rates or can't pay their mortgage or enve that are now in foreclosure!. Press 1 if you want to speak to a representative or press 2 if you would like to be taken off their call list. I have tried both; pressing 1 gets you nowhere - eventually a dial tone; pressing 2 does not remove me from their calling list! HELP!!!!!

- muttpuddlesI received two calls within 15 minutes of each other from this number. The first one was a hang-up, the second they left a message about Advance Financial, and a loan that I took out for $200 and have to pay back $230. They asked for someone who isn't me! On the 5th of August, I supposedly took out this loan. I've never heard of them, nor have I taken out a loan for $200. How can we stop them?
