I dont know if it was the phone company that included it or the ones calling but all Fraud calls should have that on Caller I.D. this way we wont have to say HELLO!

- JosWhen you get any kind of unsolicited calls (robo generated or not) and you get a live person from the caller, when they greet you or ask you a question you just respond "What do you lying cork soakers want to scam me out of today?" If they respond or not just keep repeating your opening phrase over and over and over whatever they say or try to respond with. Do this until THEY hang up. If we all respond like this to all unsolicited and illegal calls they will soon get the message. I do this with all unsolicited illegal calls whether if is from Microsoft about computer errors, the IRS or someone wanting to sell back braces or "Rachel" from credit card services. I am on the DO NOT CALL list so that makes them fair game Try it!
- Caller: POSSIBLE FRAUD

- Kate replies to Wise to it"Wise to it" is exactly right. They called back because you didn't say "Yes", which was what they wanted you to say. , They are taping your response and If you say "Yes", they put it into a tape where they are asking you if they can charge something on your credit card. When you object to the charge, if you notice it, they have a tape where you are saying "Yes" to an entirely different question than the one you answered. I don't answer unknown callers but look up their number, instead. If it turns out to be a legitimate call, I can call back. This has worked well for my husband and me.

- Anon| 2 repliesThis number keeps calling and the question is can you hear me? My local news reported the scam is to get you to say YES they record your voice and the scam begins. Every time I block the company they program a new number to call again.

- JustinCase replies to AnonNot an awful lot can be done with a recorded YES, and there's been no proof of it. Unless the caller has personal and financial information for you, they're not going to get far.
- BigA replies to AnonDid your "local news" news tell you that not one verifiable, reliable report exists where someone was scammed this way? Also, I be your "local news" used the words "might, maybe, or possibly" to describe this alleged scam?
Of course if they did give a verifiable, reliable report of someone being scammed, please post the link here as neither we nor anyone else reporting on this alleged scam has been able to provide one.
Make sure you don't simply post a link to something that says "might, maybe or possibly" though.
