561-235-7900

Got a call from this number. Actually, it showed up as "blocked" on the ID, but they left message to call 561-235-7900 and said if I didn't contact them within 2 days to "get ready for the legal trouble". I first Googled the number and it came up as Calvin and Travis Law Firm, but then another organization as well with the same number. Guy who left the message called himself "Robert Wood" and told me to get an attorney and that he was going to sue me. He didn't give me any more information such as why and who. Is this a scam? Anyone know if this is legit?

Same phone call same names same threat was made to me another call today from florida no. 917-775-5383 said it was cash advance legal dept.

Called the number after reading some of the complaints. Told "Robert Wood" that if he calls me again I'm going to file harassment charges against him, because I know that I don't have any outstanding account balances- and I've never applied for anything in Florida- which is where his number is from. He said nothing and hung up. Will post again if I get anymore calls from this scam.

If they don't send validation within 5 business days, its either a scam or it's a debt they can't validate.  Meaning it's past the statute of limitations, they aren't sure you're the right person, it's something you already paid or something that was discharged in bankruptcy.  (Something you don't have to pay.) The scammers usually just make up the debt.

I also received a call today and was told I owed $489 for a loan that I got in December of 2011.  When I questioned the loan (knowing I did not take a loan out in December) I was told the money was but in my bank account.... and I asked which bank and was told the name of the bank that I just opened an account.  I asked for something in writing showing my that this was my loan and my bank account number and he got rude and said I will just pass this on to the proper channels.

I got a call from these people and it is a scam. they never give you detail as the debt you owe. I told them to send it to me inwritting. The whole calvin and travis  lawfirm website is bogus it has no contact information on it. the guy has a thick accent his name is not robert wood. I told them to send any information to me in writing and my lawyer will review it.  Jerks!

This is a scam . Google the number it is a bandwith cell phone in boca raton florida. No law office.  The website did not give any contact information. This is something that is made up. It is also listed as Connor and Thompson law firm if you look at some other reports on this number . do not fall for it!!!!!

I also just received this phone call. They were telling me the same thing, Respond within 2 days or they were going to start legal action and garnishe my wages.  Glad to read this online.  Thanks

Just got a message on phone from this number and let's just say they will not be calling back. I had to bless him real quick like.  They need to quit this mess.

I got a message at my job today dude called like 15 times and said he needs to speak with my boss yeah ok not gonna happen and they are going to sue me and send forms to my payroll to garnish wages, blah,blah,blah, I'm going to report them harassment and there is no contact number for the Calving and Travis website, I have a friend that is a police officer and the name, phone number, and law office are going in the report, I know how you all feel, it's ridiculous.

Huh...I just received a voice mail message from this Robert Wood and that my wages are going to be garnished and to contact an attorney.  I called the number back and he answered the phone and said I had an outstanding loan balance of $450 dollars.  When I started to questioned him he HUNG up.  I then called back and this time he said that the case will be filled with the local court and a summons will be issued and to pay up!!   Well, I googled this number and Robert Wood and it's all a SCAM!!  I called him back and conveniently I went right into voice mail.....I started the followed:

I know who you are and that you a deploying a phone scam and I am not to be contacted again.  I will be going to my local police department and reporting your name and number as a phone scam and the threatening phone calls.  I am going to have a trace put on my phone by the policy department and they will find out.  So,  you better get an attorney!

Yes, this is a scam!

I received the same call yesterday which is why I am looking up information on google about this guy named Robert Wood. I asked him to explain himself and he just kept saying that I owe him 489 dollars for a 300 dollar loan that I took out in December of 2011. I said I have never taken out a loan and what comp0any sold you my account. He claimed Midland Financial and I called Midland and they have no record of a loan and on top of that their minimum loan amount is 2500 dollars no less.

It is a scam!
As soon as I told him they have no record and I will have this investigated Robert Wood with an indian accent hung up on me and would not pick up the phone afterward. Today I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau so that this is hopefully be stopped.

I received the same threat from Robert Woods, called them back.  They never returned the call. The automatic name insert and threats of garnishing wages without notification was disturbing.

Don't be disturbed. They're blowing smoke. If you can't pay them something now they lose interest. Demand documentation. They'll hem and haw. They're dirt-bags. Laugh at them.
What are they gonna' do? Sue you? Stop putting your info. on the net. That's where this [***] comes from. Believe it or not, their are some of us that care. Love, The Group.

I just got the same call, from the same nuber, same guy and everything.
this is a total scammer. so sick of these calls....
