Someone called and asked for me by name. Said it's about my re-finance application. I don't own, I rent. Must be some kind of phishing.

Got numerous calls from this number that the first few calls were just a dead line, then on about the fourth or fifth call a guy said he was from some company whose name was read so fast that I couldn't make heads or tails out of it.  I knew it was a scam.  He asked about my husband and called him by name, and said he had applied for a refinance loan for the house.  He started asking a lot of credit and personal questions, to which all of them I replied "you'll have to call back and talk to him."  After a while I hung up and called my husband.  He said he had no idea what it was about and that the supposed credit score the guy came up with was way off.  The only thing he got right was my husband's name.  reverse lookup through Verizon says the number is a land line out of Boca Raton Fl.

I just got the third call from this silent caller.  Doesn't say anything for about 10 seconds, then hangs up.  Must definately be a thief, and ID hacker.  I also found that the number is from somewhere in Boca Raton, FL.

I received a call from a man stating he was from a refinance company, the name of the company was said too fast to understand. When I asked him to repeat the name he said it again too fast to understand. He asked me if he could help me with refinancing my home. I told him I don’t have a home and then he said sorry I got the wrong person, although he did get my full name and address right. I repeatedly tried to recall this company, but no answer.

Has your husband been off of work because of any work related injury?

This guy called twice asking for my wife, twice he called asking for my wife and hung up.

561 is a westpalm beach Florida area code.

I keep getting calls from this number have never picked up and decided to google it and I see this. So this is shady number.

I too received a call from this number on 8/28/2007. I did not pick up the call, however, and just let the message go to voicemail. Naturally, the caller did not leave a message. I recently filled out an online form requesting mortgage lenders call me and am certain that is how my phone number was available to this shady entity.
