Keeps calling my parents wanting to access to their computer to "fix" errors. He said his is from Microsoft where he has worked for 35 years. My mom told him to quit calling but he just calls back. He said his name is John Huneer and has an accent possibly from India.

I wish there was a way for  people like us to sue out a mass tort claim against the companies that  knowingly rent phone lines to scammers and crooks.  if any of you have ideas,  my email is  walker@chandlerandchandlerlaw.com.

Scammer looking to take control of your computer. Play along with them like I did and I was able to keep him going for about 20 minutes. He was an idiot with an indian accent. Perhaps he should go back to selling slim jims at 711. HAHA [***] I wasted 20 minutes of your time that you could have been scamming someone else.

I just received a call from this company, the caller ID was, 1-855-210-3300, the caller identified himself as Ethan and from ItechAlot, and that he was an MVP with Microsoft.  He claimed that my computer was being aggressively attacked and that I should go to a web site so the could help me correct the problem.

I said I was busy and wanted to check out his company before talking to him and could I call back later and he gave me this number 561-401-0188 to call him back.  Ethan said he was out over the weekend and I could call him back on Monday.  Of course, I'm not calling him back.

He wanted me to go to www.support.me

I work with computers and I recognized this as a scam.  Today is Friday.  I typed his number into Google and that brought me here.

As others have said it is a scam. I received a call from a 'John Hunter' who had a very strong foreign accent.  He said my computer had a virus.  I told him I couldn't talk long so he gave me his name and phone number so I could call him back.  He said he is from ITEC ALERT at ITECALERT.com.  Web site is real but so are Southeast Florida BBB complaints against this company.
I have had these types of calls before.  He doesn't know about your computer until you give him your information (but DON'T DO IT).  Ask him which PC he is talking about. Even if you have only one PC, he doesn't know.  Ask him what Version of Windows the PC is running - he can't tell you or will just guess.  When he can't tell you about your computer then politely tell him to put you on the 'do not call' list or you will report him to the BBB.
You could also say excuse me but someone’s at the door and then pretend to have a long conversation with a long lost relative who is just back from Australia.
As others have said - Avoid at all costs - stay away from them.

I received a call on Friday. Luckily, I could hear all of the people talking in the background and could tell it was a "boiler Room" type operation. I did not do what he wanted, he gave me his number to have my husband call him. Just know there are scammers all over. If they would only use their methods for good, the world would be a much better place. If he calls again, I will deny I have a computer, maybe that will stop them. He said he was a level 5 Microsoft Technician. Never give anyone access to your computer.

Received call from a person Name Brian, Indian Accent, wanted access to my computer. He mentioned that my computer is sending signals that it has been infected. I asked him which computer as I have several? He just wanted access to anyone of them. I asked him to give me his contact information. He gave me his number 561-401-0188.

He contact Microsoft technician and he said that Microsoft never initiate those kind of calls.

These companies are trying to sell software by using scare techniques. They will scan your computer and result in selling you the Virus software. Do you really need it? May be but never give access to your computer to anyone.

I would love to get these guys! They've stolen tens of thousands of dollars from people I know. They've called me daily (sometimes 2x a day) for over 3 weeks! Wolhtrab@yahoo.com
