A recording is played. Claims to be from "Internal Revenue Services" (plural). Says they have been trying to reach me and they are going to file a lawsuit. Then tell me to call 567-244-0396. Scam.

Received call from 567-244-0396 at 1:00 this morning!!!!!! The call was recorded concerning an IRS lawsuit. I get this same call regularly and reported it to the Gov site and I am still getting this. At 1:00 in the morning I thought it was my elderly parent. This NEEDS TO STOP NOW!

also received a call from this number saying a lawsuit had been filed etc.  shows as being from Toledo OH and obviously a phishing call.  will add them to my long list of blocked numbers.

This is very unfortunate because it often puts receivers in a bind in such circumstances. Your best bet is probably a call blocking device since you can't turn your ringer off or disconnect your line during night hours on a landline. If it's a cell, waste no time looking for an app that blocks private callers or try blocking all those not in your contacts. Sorry you were disturbed.

Received a call at 11:37 PM ~ didn't recognize number, didn't answer.

The IRS is not going to contact you by phone.
