- StoryteacherI receive calls frequently from different number claiming to be from Microsoft or the "windows support office." I got tired of telling them I wasn't interested, so I have started to play games with them. I've answered the phone "Federal Bureau of Investigation" (immediate hangup), "Microsoft Help Desk" (muffled background noise, followed by hangup), "Eternal Rest Funeral Home" (if they ask for someone by name, I inform them that person has passed away) - you get the idea. Once. I told the caller I would transfer them to our IT guy, then played 3 1/2 minutes of classical music. I'm not sure at which point the caller hung up. I know, It doesn't stop the calls (nothing does), but it sure is entertaining for me.
- Caller: "Toledo Ohio"
- HoosierlandDavyboyThese scam callers are fun to toy with. I first ask "Do you speak Punjabi?" If they say yes, I say "wait a moment" then lay the phone down and go about my activities. They eventually hang up. These people are doing serious harm to the reputation of all East Indians, here and abroad. Filthy, scummy scammers!
- Dennisjk replies to SonyaGet a call blocking app and use it. It will prevent you phone from ringing when you get a call from this number. It will also tell you with a screen message that you got the call and it was blocked.
- JJGet these calls from an individual with an Indian accent claiming I have a problem with my computer. That is about number 6 this year. Having some idle time on my hands one day when I received this type of call I took the caller on a wild goose chase and tied him up for almost 30 minutes with total nonsense. Asked him to identify which computers have problems and he told me all of them, gave him a fictitious number of devices and he still insisted all of them, kept changing my story and asking him questions but he still didn't catch on....not a very bright individual. After 30 minutes I simply hung up but the individual never bothered me again. I figured turn around is fair play. If they are going to waste my time I will waste theirs as well. Since the caller has not idea what he is talking about he/she will probably fall for any story you tell him. Good for a short term laugh if you have the time.

- Linda H| 1 replyCaller said he was from Microsoft and stated my Windows 8 system had been hacked. Wanted remote access to my system ot "ensure security." Refused to provide any information. Caller wanted to provide a toll free # and website, however told this information can be created by any social engineer or hacker for fraudulent purposes. Caller then said he hoped my system got hacked consistently from this day forward. Immediately called Microsoft Windows Support explaining what happened. THIS CALLER IS NOT MICROSOFT but a social engineer attempting to hack your system or create online fraud. Immediately call 1-800-MICROSOFT to report this caller and any attempts to access your system.

- ravenhe calls me actually about 4-8 times a day and will some times call 3 times in a row. when I answered it today, and he said he needed me to log in, I asked him to tell me my information if he actually had my profile up in front of him. He said he couldn't give my info out on the phone, then I stated I wished to hear it due to it could be a scam...he goes "how can you say that!?" and just kept repeating that. I hung up on him.
