They called and said they are federal club investigate department?

I got a call too claiming to be from a cop Jason Smith asking to call back at 567 244 4748. Called ID showed CITY OF PLANO from 972-941-2019" Somebody might be spoofing caller ids.

Receive a call from this number few minutes ago, from a cop named Don Larson, to call back. Before calling back I googled to find all of the above. There should be a way to inform govt. Agencies about all this????

I got call twice they asking to pay tax 4000 $

I received a phone call today at my home asking my family for my cell# saying this is Officer Sandra Johnson from Federal Crime Investigation Department. A complaint has been filed and a case opened in my name and to have me call ASAP. I tried calling back first no ringing then after 4th try it just kept ringing no officer name no voice mail setup. Officers always have something setup so you can leave a message.

There's no such animal as the Federal Crime Investigation Department - your caller is a scammer.  Please do report them to the FTC, FBI and your state's Attorney General.

Received a very harassing call at 2:16pm on 02/13/2014 demanding money for back taxes for three years.  Said IRS has sent 3 notices.  In the end guy, Shawn Marshall, said, "Let me arrest you let me arrest you".  I wish some one would take serious action to something like this.

Same here. I just got the same call. Requesting $2700 or face arrest for not paying federal taxes. I thing the [***] is targeting foreign names thinking that with the fear tactic he is playing we will just pay on the phone like that!

I just got a call from that number and they hung up as I could not hear them very well. I called back from caller ID and this guy claims to be Federal officer Don Larson and says he has 3 warrants and he is sending officers to arrest me. When I asked why, "what do you think I am fool, don't act like you don't know what crimes you committed. Don't you know how to talk to a federal officer?". Finally says for not filing taxes. This is nothing but a scam.

Just received a call from the same number. Same scam same scam artist. The moment they said - federal crime investigation - I knew it was a scam. I recorded the conversation, though the initial portion is missing. I will be reporting this to the police, or should it be the FBI?

Caller: Federal investigation , phone # 567-244-4748 and bag # 3952

They got my home, got my cell number, and started harassing me about some complain.  They introduced themselves as offices so and so.  I contacted the FCC, and FBI.  U can also submit a complaint at www.IC3.gov
The person had a very heavy foreign accent.  I called back the number and they picked up, and confirmed.  When I pressed they ran.  

I did receive the call too and soon as I notice the chines accent I knew it  is a scam ??

got call as well supposedly Federal crime investigation from Sandra Johnson (Indian accent) from Phone number 567 244 4748.  She said there was a warrant for our arrest from the IRS.  wanted ss #..

left a message with my mom and said he is an officer and I should call him as soon as possible.

My wife received a call today from this same number: 567-244-4748, 5672444748, (567)244-4748.
A guy who identified himself as "Marshall Jackson" from FBI (Columbus) and claimed to take legal action against her & requested for her cell phone number. She said she will call back and put down the phone. We called Phoenix police to be told that there is FBI office in Columbus (but only in Cincinnati). The area code 567 belongs neither to Columbus nor to Cinicinnati, but to Norwalk, which is a suburb on Toledo City.

I called FBI and asked to verify the authenticity of this number. Which they said they can not do. I googled and stumbled upon this site. Our experience matches the other posters' here.

In recent times, we also received a similar call (may be a different source) claiming to represent IRS about back taxes.
