I received a call from this number. The person leaving the message was Indian

a friend of mine got a call from this number posing a credit collector threat. He was indian and called himself alan smith. This guy had my name too so I called and was told that a fee had to be paid or I would be blacklisted in the state of mn. They refused to give me the name of the company that hired them or their contact information.

they have been calling me and threating me and my family they wont give me any info on who hired them just that i will pay if i do not call them back

This person called me today also. I am a nurse and work at a family practice clinic. They called me here and posed as a patient in order to speak with me which is illegal. He said he was calling from "Advance payday loan". I have never taken a loan out from this company, said I owed $330 and needed to pay it or it was going to the courthouse tomorrow. I told him to do right ahead because I do not know what this is regarding and I am pretty sure it is a scam. No law firm would file paperwork for a $330 claim. Beware!!

My husband got the same phone call and  they left the exact same message from a different number and company about two weeks ago so it is a scam. This company he supposedly worked for was "Legal Account Association."

I too talked to them. They are very harrassing and hard to understand. I asked them to provide me loan documents and they said they couldn't until after I paid. I told them that I couldn't pay unless I had proof I owed this.  The told me they would come and arrest me and I would be in jail and I had to pay 400.00 right away. The guy I talked to also said he was from "legal account association".  So did anyone come get dragged to jail? I believe this is a total scam. Any true lawfirm would be able to send you documents showing that you owe this money. Plus the police aren't going to come arrest you from not paying a bill and take you straight to the courthouse....its America it takes a while to even get a court date!!!

Is everyone still getting harrassed by these people even if you ignored them?? I am documenting everything about these people!

They call me everyday all day long. They call my work and cell and odd numbers show up on my caller ID. They tell me the same thing that I would be arrested if I don't comply. I tell them the same thing that I need proof that I owed this. What do I do to get this to stop?

As well I got a call from this number. They called my work number. I could not understand him and he transfered my call to another guy who also had a accent. They told me that I owed 382.00   I asked this guy when did this money get transfered to my account. He could not pen-point when, somewhere between Sept and Dec. This guy told me there was an legal case against me. Isn't funny that this was the first call I have receieved and nothing by mail. I have an attorney in which I called him. I gave him the phone number and he even called it. He said he thinks its fraud. He told me that if they have not provided me with any information..Acct number, Name of business, or even giving me a date in which this transaction happen. Don't reply. And that they are not suppose to call me at work.

I just received two messages from this guy calling himself "Danny Cooper."
One came from 825-35461 (no area code given on caller id.)
But in both messages I was told that I or my attorney must call back 567-248-2129, and I was threatened that I would need "good luck as the situation unfolds on you."
No clue was given as to what the situation is about.
"Danny" had an accent that sounded like he was from India.
( I did take out a payday loan about 6 months ago, but they have taken at least 4x what I borrowed from my checking account. Also they only sent me emails about the $300.00 loan.)
So I think this must be fraud.
But it's not funny that the threat is so vague & ominous. It is scary.
And they he has called 2x in the past 4 hours.

Where can this be reported?

I got two calls from 567-248-2129 - they did give a name, however, I could not understand them. I am very tired of this - I got another call from another number like this. what can be  done to STOP this!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????????

hi i got message from some guy name edward claim about a debt which i don't ole anyone he's lying i don't old know advance paydayloan,  everyone i beleive that this a company call hudson law firm which they are a scam the need to get a life.the y always change they name or number i have even call the BBB on the people.

I rec'd the same call from these people. I got a call at my home # and my work #. Those of you wondering if you should pay them DO NOT pay them. I went to my bank about this person and the branch manager pulled up all this fraud information on the number.  She had said many people were receiving this call...not to believe it. Yes it is a very scary call w/all the threats, but none of them are true, they are ment to scare you into paying them. She called the number back and they would give her no information and got very defensive when she continued badgering them w/questions.   They would up hanging up on her saying, fine we dont need your customers payment!  AGAIN DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING!!! This is actually a 2nd number they use. Branch mgr told me these people recycle numbers to try and throw you off. Another number they used was 1-904-395-5144, this number was used about a month ago from same people. They had the same accent and threats.  Google the number and you will find many other people receiving the same threatening phone call w/same story. Payday loan company going to be charged w/fraud. This time name used was Dennis Walker...

I received a message on my cell phone adn work phone today reagrding the same issue.  They will not give any details and jus tmake threats.  I am documenting this and ignoring them.  I feel is is most likely a scam.  I told the India male, sho said his name was Mark thomson, that I felt like this was fraud and i wanted to speak to a supervisor immedialtey, he hung up on me.  He demanded money or that I would be in court Friday, I said what court- He said "the court where you stay" I knew then it was fraud.  i do nto stay anywhere, i live in my house.  BEWARE....

Phone call from a foreign speaking person, who made threats of legal action about a supposed bill that I defaulted and did not pay back. I have received the same type phone call from otherr numbers. They cannot prove the debt and when pushed they threaten you and eventually hang up. Wish I knew how to stop them from calling.
