Acting like they are someone else and then they call at least 6 to 8 times a day.  5

hi, i was getting multiple calls (4, 5 a day) from this number but they would never leave a message. i finally called back and yes it is a collection agency. i just asked who they were trying to reach, and turns out they had an old number for someone else and ended up being my cell number. they were nice, i told them that person no longer had the number. we'll see if they call back.

multiple calls per day... we owe nothing to everyone.

update: answered the phone and it was a collection agency looking for someone else with the same name... possibly just calling from a list of matching names composed from nation wide telephone directories

I have been getting their calls for a few weeks everyday, and and they would not stop calling me. I decided to call them back just as Leslie did and the lady said they have removed my number from their "list." They have not called back for a few hours. I will see if they call again.

All the time, when I picked up, all I heard was "Please wait for this important call." If it is so important, why do I have to wait? Can't they just call when I am there?

Just so you know, I am merely a high school student. I do not own bills, sign bills, or what not.

If this is indeed a collection agency there are in violation of the FDCPA fari debt collection practices act. The have been calling me and i called them back and stated they need to identify themselves. They would not and this is clearly a crime. The FTC federal trade commission is the agency responsible for enforcement against third party collection agencies but good luck, they do little and don't really care!!

this number showed up on my cell from MRC.  I called them back and said I was put down as a contact for someone they were trying to contact (my sister).  They would not identify the nature of the call, so why would I give them my sister's number?  Called again the next day so I called back and got the rudest representative who was put out at how upset I was.  Excuse me, who's calling whom here?  So anyway, this place takes your number off the "list" but you have to be blunt and say that verbatim.
