- Called my cell| 1 replyThis person called me and said he was from a drug enforcement agency and I was being investigated.
Very harrassing. I hung up on him when there was no google match.- Caller: Drug Enforcement Agency
- Called mine as wellJust received a call from someone saying they were from the DEA and asked how long I had been receiving drugs on the black market. They gave my old work address as the place where they intercepted a package addressed to me. I haven't worked there in 5-years. The guy sounded Asian.

- called my cell tooI just got the same call!! This is such BS dude, it's got to be a scam. I wish there was a way to report them for impersonating a DEA agent. This guy had me all worked up for a minute until red flags started going off everywhere, like the fact that he was going to transfer me to someone who could tell me where I could go pay my fine at, and also when I had returned the call, a man answered stating I had reached the office of the DEA and when I asked to speak to James Miller (the man who left the message), he put me on hold and the same vioce came back to the phone stating he was James Miller, WTH!!!

- cell phone callThis person just called me as well and said that a package had been intercepted by the DEA that was addressed to me. I almost had heart failure until my husband talked me off the ledge (watching too much Locked Up Abroad apparently). Thank you to all who posted this as a scam; I might have went out and hired an attorney!
- Caller: DEA
- DebbieJust got it, too. The time tag on the voice mail was 3:22 this afternoon (EDT). He left the same message about intercepting a package with my name and address on it. He used the name "Special Investigator James Smithers" (I think. It was hard to understand his thick Bronx-type accent). and told me to call him at 571 522 3606. I found this web site when I tried to do a reverse search on the phone number then a search on the 571 area code to find its geographical location.
- Caller: DES
- DebbieAdding an additional note: First, I misspelled the identity of the caller as DES vice DEA. I've since called the FTC help line and reported all information about the call and caller. I've then attempted to contact various offices including those of the DEA and State Attorney General. Offices are closed. Coincidence? Maybe, but the calls may have been timed to make it too late to call additional offices to complain. The woman at FTC who took my call directed that I NOT call this person back. But she also said that if he tried to call me again to try to get as much info as possible in order to report additional details to the FTC.
- Caller: DEA
- SamJust got a call from "James Miller" at 276-880-7295 from the DEA. Same scam as listed above, just bring $4600 to the local "Check n Go" and the federal prosecutors won't come arrest me today. The local police department says this happens every day. "David Stone" from the Dominican Republic played a US Customs and Border Patrol officer, and the guy on the other line who also harrassed me.
Another name used was "James Smithers" for James Miller.
