Heavy accent, male. He knew my name and said that he was from IHG Holiday Inn Rewards, then gave me a "phone survey". He clearly didn't know anything about my stay history with Holiday Inn. Next he transferred me over to a woman who tried to give me a "free" weekend stay somewhere. Felt like a scam, so I told her that Holiday Inn knew how to reach me by other means and hung up.

Just received a call but did not pick up. If it's fromTravelocity, I have not done any traveling. I don't have a mortgage loan or any credit cards. Must be a phishing company.

put your cell phone on the do not call list!

A call came in today.  4:38 PM.  No message.  Concealed my caller ID and called the number back.  It was busy.

SCAM guy asked for name and number then hung up.when i called back can't get through

571 is a Virginia area code but  the company seems to be in NJ
Which makes me think this number was spoofed.

Travelocity Customer service uses a 1-855 #. Plus they won't call you.

What is the name of the app you mentioned that allows you to know who is really calling, i.e. scammers, telemarketers? I would like to get that app! Thanks!

I received a call from 1.571.918.6490 on my cell phone today. The phone rang once - I didn't answer it since I didn't recognize the number & they didn't leave a message. I'm sure it's some kind junk call.
I have traveled recently in the US (not Canada and we did not fly). I did NOT use Travelocity, I checked all of my bank accounts and bank cards are just fine.
This must just be some kind of phishing junk call or someone trying to sell some kind of crap - why else didn't they leave a message?

Called at 9:20 a.m. today. I didn't recognize the Caller ID, so didn't answer. No message left.

Thanks to all  that post here so we know to block this number.

Caller called me on my cell phone that is listed on the "Do Not Call " list. He thanked me for a recent stay at Holiday Inn and being a member of IHG. Wanted me to take a survey. I hung up. Caller's accent was very heavy, maybe regionally India? I am reporting call to IHG.

Answered at 1:30pm. Woman voice with strong accent (sounded Asian). She asked to speak with X... YZ (said a first name and middle/last initial). My initials were correct, but first name was not. I told her she had the wrong number and she said: "Oh, that's fine. Thanks for taking the call". WTF??? Blocked the number now.

Received call as waiting to hear news of tragedy with close friend. Woman with a strong accent and unclear English suggesting not local from Virginia but do not know. she asked for me by name I said it was not me but offered to provide a message. after insisting that she identify herself she indicated she was with IHG a group that represents hotels such as Holiday Inn. unwilling to leave more message and hung up saying she would call back. frustrating as this is mymobile number and I do not want to receivethe telemarketing calls that I get on my home line. suggests somebody sold my number somehow. I don't know.

It doesn't work. There's always a way around it and they are so annoying.
