My experience was exactly the same as Vance’s below ... obvious scam/telemarketer/robocall.

Robo call. Political survey.

Young Republicans survey. Although a Republican, it's a loaded 2 question survey with the 2nd one being the worst as assault weapons are already illegal.

Caller ID says "LEESBURG   VA".  They leave no message.

Another site has a transcript of a call.  It says, "Hi, This is Tammy.  I'm calling with a quick 2 question survey about gun control, and your opinion is very important.  Do you agree that harsher gun regulations are needed?  Press 1 for yes or 2 for no."

Real surveys have a lengthy preamble.  I suspect this "survey" is to engage you and then find out what you think.  They will then parrot it back to you and ask for money.

Most of my 571 area codes are Republicans (or possibly fraudsters pretending to be Republicans).

No message left.

So angry.  Bad enough these calls come all day, every day, but this one came at 8:50 pm when we are trying to wind down in the evening.  Same as all the above....bogus survey about gun control.  I hung up after hearing question number 1 and blocked the number.

Received call @ 5:41 PM (EDT). Call I.D. showed: "UNKNOWN NAME". I did not answer and no message was left on my voice mail.

Missed call and they did not leave a message

Got one ring only then call was blocked or intercepted.  Called at 8:30 PM on Sunday evening, my wife an invalid was already going to sleep.  Will call them back and complain if they used a real number (rare these days, most are spoofed out of service numbers).

Called it back using *67, number not in service!

Called a 2nd time again left no message. If they call a 3rd time I will block the number.

I get maybe 3 phone calls a week from people I actually know, usually one maybe two of this kind of call. I'd hate to think what it'd be like if I wasn't listed on DNC. But at times, seems like these kinds of calls come in clusters. Today alone I had 5 unknown callers from 4 different numbers. None of which were from the state I live in let alone in my general location. And, of course, none left a message.

Called at 20:20 tonight (Sunday). CID #1 no message left. I am getting up to 20 unwanted calls per day. Registered on the do not call list. Doesn't help. My number is supposed to be unpublished/private. Still getting these annoying calls. I don't answer. Have answering maching set to answer in 2 rings. Has helped a little.
