Left a voice message looking for 'Carrie' for Prepaid Legal Services. Said that credit card is declined and isnt processing. The number they called is my internet voicemail box. Smells like a scam.

This is a company called Legal Shield services. They are legit. I use the service and get occasional calls from them related to my account. Your call could just have been a wrong number.

This is in fact the main offices of Legalshield services, as I too use the services.

This is definitely a scam, let me explain why:  This is from Prepaid Legal (580) 436-1234  based in Ada, Oklahoma.  The caller ID says Bruce Redwine.  I live in Ohio.  Even if they had legitimate business with me, by state law, they would not contact me from OK.  The local PPL that I have belonged to through my employer for about 13 years changed to a different provider, Legal Shield, but kept the same law firm relationships which I am very happy with.  If there was a problem of any type, my law firm provider would have contacted me.  Read the other posts associated with this number.  I suspect that some renegade multi-level network marketers have gone off the reservation. If I were you, I would block this number as I have.  If an attorney or court needs to reach you, they will do so via certified mail at your address of record.

I would say also that somethings a miss.

As a practice, they do not make robo-calls of solicitation. I’m a member and their business practices are of high standards. If their services are among A-list law firms around the country with ID-Protection managed by KROLL (of whom the government used to track down Saddam’s money) then believe me, LegalShield isn’t going to screw-around only to sullying their associates in the process (really).

LegalShield (formerly PrePaid Legal) is not a ‘Get Rich Scheme’ (a few mistaken zealots push it) but is a  legitimate company offering premium Legal and real Identity Theft services in affordable plans that put the power back into the hands of the common people.

This number called my cellular number (which I NEVER give out).  I was a previous PrePaid Legal subscriber and cancelled my contract with them as I no longer required the service.  I hope my number is not on some solicitation list now!!!

This is the number for Legal Shield's corporate office, NOT your local provider law firm. That means if you are getting calls from this number, it isn't about any of the legal issues you may be getting assistance with. It is most likely a sales call or some other kind of unwanted disturbance.
I've been getting unwanted calls from them for the last few weeks because after the last time I called my local provider law firm, they asked me to fill out an online survey. The survey had the option to get a call back if you needed further assistance, and I specifically remember that I selected the NO call back option. In spite of that, the legal shield corporate offices are now calling me on a weekly basis and leaving messages saying that they want to talk to me about my survey response.
BS! I selected NOT to be called. I don't want to talk to these people and they are lucky I don't cancel my service over these unwanted calls.

FYI - Legal Shield is Pre-Paid Legal - they are one and the same, and their corporate offices are in Ada, Oklahoma. For administrative activities, they won't go through your legal service provider, but will contact you directly.

Legal Shield is Pre-Paid Legal.  They changed their name about 3-4 years ago, made a few changes of some sort, but they are a legit business. I would recommend their services. To my knowledge the corporate office does not make "cold" calls nor do they recommend their associates make cold calls. So, I'm thinking if they did call you, you have had a membership with them at some point, or they dialed incorrectly.  I'm here because they called me from a number I wasn't familiar with, so checked out the number.  They were calling me regarding some administrative activities regarding my account - so I left the "call Type" below, as "unknown" because none of the other choices worked. Oh, and if you do use any of the services provided under your account, they will call as a follow up to complete a survey - which is kind of annoying. But they do this to make sure the attorney's associated with them, are properly assisting their members - which is a good thing, I suppose. I have had mostly good experiences and one bad, which I blasted the attorney.  They called and wanted to know what they could do to make things right. They work at providing quality services to their members. Oh, and no, I'm not a sales associate.

I'm on a do not call list and your operators just called my number ! I contacted an attorney over wrongful death of my mother ..This is infuriating both an agent and your 202 call lead center called me when I DIDN'T call that rep nor your company for help !!
